'Joy To The World.'

 Hi there Lovelies,

Hoping you are all well and keeping snug and warm now the frosty nights and  cold weather are here   Thank you all once again for your comments and visits to my last blog post, it does give me some encouragement to make more cards.     It is not long now until Christmas.   Wow! this year seems to have just flown by so quickly.

Talking of Christmas, I have another  card to share with you tonight,   This is a much more traditional Christmas card than the last one, so hope you like it.

Make a base card from white card measuring five and three quarter inches square.   Matt and layer a five and a quarter inch square of dark red card onto the white base card.

Cut a slightly smaller square of white card and using the alcohol proof black dye pad by Spectrum Noir, stamp the main image from  Stampendous in the centre of the white card.      .

Colour the image with Promarker Alcohol Pens, adding some watered down Bundled Sage Distress ink over the pine branches.

Stamp the poinsettia a further three times onto white card, using the alcohol proof ink pad and colour them with the alcohol pens, colouring the Poinsettia centre with a golden yellow pen,  then 3D them onto the main image, using silicone glue.

Using the sentiment  and the group of three snowflakes stamps which were given free with a craft magazine some time ago (sorry cannot remember which one !) and stamp the sentiment in the top right corner and the three snowflakes in the bottom left corner.   Then matt and layer this onto the base card.

Add some Cadence white liquid jewellery to the mistletoe berries and leave to dry.  ( This was done before I 3D the Poinsettia).

I had two snowflake shapes left over from another project after die-cutting a shape so I glued one to the top left and the other to the bottom right corners.

I added some small highlights to the red berries using a white pen.   Well that's it folks, card finished.   Below are a few close up photos of the card to show the dimension

That's all for now Lovelies, I will post another Christmas card soon.   Stay warm and snug and enjoy the rest of your week.

                                                                    Love and rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs   Jennifer xx,

'Winter Wonderland.'

Hello Lovelies,

Hoping all is well with you and you are looking forward to the weekend    Thank you for your visits and lovely comments on my last blog post, very much appreciated.

Tonight I thought I would share another of my Christmas cards with you all.   For this card, I have once again used a stencil for the background.   This was a Crafter's Workshop stencil I have had for many years, I then added colour by using T.H. Distress inks.   The pine branch and the Christmas Tree bauble stamps plus the bauble die, were given free with the Sentimentally Yours Premium magazine - Issue 88.   The   'Christmas Wishes' sentiment stamp. is by Stampendous and the flower stamp from my craft stash.   O.K. I think it is time to get  started lol.

Cut a piece of white card to a five and three quarter inch square.   Lay the stencil onto it.   Gently rub the Scattered Straw and the Weathered Wood distress inks through the stencil design, using a  Blending tool.

                                                                Remove the stencil.

Using a black ink pad, stamp the pine branch in the top right-hand corner.   Matt this piece of card onto a slightly larger piece of light blue card and then onto a 7" square white base card,

Stamp the 'Merry Christmas'  sentiment stamp centrally along the bottom of the stenciled  card again, using the black ink pad.

Stamp the bauble onto some spare white card, using a black ink pad and using the matching bauble die,  die-cut the bauble
.

Using some spare white card and the black ink pad, stamp the Christmas Rose and colour  it with some watered down Distress inks.

Fix the Christmas rose to the centre of the bauble using silicone glue, adding some under each petal.

Fix the bauble to the centre of the stenciled card using sticky foam pads or silicone glue adding a silver  ribbon bow to the bauble top and the card is finished.   I do hope you like it.   Below is a photo taken at an  angle to show the dimension of the card.

Thank you for taking the time to  visit my blog.    I do hope this card may have  inspired you to 'have a go' at this relaxing and very  satisfying hobby, if you are not already a  card crafter.

Until my next Christmas card blog post, take care of yourselves, catch you all again soon.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                               Hugs    Jennifer xx.

'Forest Deer.

Hello Lovelies,

thought I'd just pop back with another Christmas card.   A dear friend of mine gave me this beautiful set of Thinlits deer dies by Sizzix and the very pretty border die -  'Vintage Winter'  by Amy Design.   The 'Merry Christmas' wreath die was given free with Cards & Papercraft Magazine some time ago and is by Crafter's Companion.

Make a base card five and three quarter inches by five and three quarter inches from white card stock.   Cut a piece  of navy blue card  five and a quarter inches square and matt and layer this onto the white base card.

Die-cut the 'Vintage Winter' design from white card.   Cut away the hanging snowflakes, leaving what looks like a snowy hillside.   Glue this to the bottom of the navy blue card on the base card.

Die-cut the four deer from the Sizzix die collection, from white card.   Glue the deer in position on the snowy hillside using tacky glue, keeping the largest deer back,  then glue him to the base of the navy blue card as he is the nearest and will be larger,  using silicone glue, to give the design some dimension,

Die-cut the 'Merry Christmas' wreath from white card and glue it to the top left corner of the navy card.

Glue the negative snowflakes (left over after die-cutting the Vintage Winter image), to the navy blue background.   Below are a few close up photos.

Thank you once again for visiting my blog, I do hope you have enjoyed your visit.   I will be back soon with another of my Christmas cards, until then take good care of yourselves.

                                                                   Love and rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs  Jennifer xx.
