Hi there Lovelies, how are you all? well I hope. Where has this year gone! Christmas will be here very soon. Today I have posted a Christmas card, made using a free snowflake die (not sure how long ago now sorry) and was by Sara Davies plus, a free stamp set designed by Jennifer Ellory back in 2015, this was also free with the same magazine, 'Cardmaking & Papercraft'. There is still time to make a few cards before Christmas and this one is quite quick to make.
Make a white base card five and three quarter inches square. Cut two 1 and a quarter inches rectangular strips of navy blue card to fit down either side of the base card and fix in position with glue or double sided tape.
Die-cut 5 large snowflakes from white card and rub some Sparkle Medium over them with your finger, or if you happen to be allergic to glitter, use a brush (firm) but wash the brush out as soon as you have finished, so the glitter does not set hard on the bristles.
Stamp the Christmas text at the bottom of the white base card using a black ink pad.
Glue 4 snowflakes onto the front of the base card, 2 on the left and 2 on the right-hand sides. Cut the 5th. snowflake into 2 pieces which are the same and glue one at the top and the other at the bottom, between the other whole snowflakes.
Die-cut a three and a half inch circle from navy blue card and glue this to the card front,
Stamp the robin wreath twice onto a spare piece of white card, using a black ink pad. Colour with the Promarker alcohol pens. Trim around one of the images and glue this to the navy blue circle.
From the second stamped image, cut out the robin's body and the bow on the ribbon and 3D these onto the orignal stamp image, using sticky foam pads or silicone glue and the card is finished but you may want to make an insert for the inside of the card. Below are a few photos showing the 3D effect.
I do hope you like it. That's me for the moment but I will be back again soon with another card. Until then, take good care of yourselves, stay safe and keep warm,
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
