Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,
We actually saw some sunshine this afternoon for a short while, makes you feel so much better doesn't it! Hope your week has got off to a good start.
Tonight I have a card I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's in April 2010. The background was made using a Crafter's Workshop template, which can be found on the Imagination Craft's website, in their bargain basement sale. It was £4.00 reduced to only £2.00! a bargain not to be missed lol! a very useful background stencil!
Begin by making a square base card from rust coloured card, using the trimmer and the scalloped blade. Matt a piece of cream card onto the rust, also with a scalloped edge, leaving a border of rust showing.
Next cut a piece of dark blue card slightly smaller than the cream. Lay the paisley swirls stencil/template on the card and dab some Versmark through the design on the stencil, using a piece of cut n' dry foam. Carefully remove the stencil/template and brush some mica powder over the Versamark. Brush off the excess powder.
Fix this panel to the to the cream card using double sided sticky tape. Punch out five small cream flowers using the Woodware flower punch and five small circles from the rust coloured card. Glue these circles to the flower centres and glue the flowers in position on the base card. Punch out a further three circles and glue to the base card.
Punch out four large flowers using the EK Success punch. Cover them with Versamark and brush them over with the orange mica powder. Cover them again with Versamark and heat emboss using the Diamond Clear Magi-Boss embossing powder. Repeat this a further three times. When the flowers are cool to the touch, glue them to the base card.
Last of all, add some glue to the large flower centres and sprinkle some seed beads on top and leave to dry.
Well that's all from me for the moment. Have a good week and happy crafting. See you again in a few days.
Love and rainbows,
Crafty Hugs Jennifer xx.
