Beauty Beneath the Waves.

Hello My Lovelies,

Time for another creation.   I would just like to thank you all for your comments and visits to my  recent blog post.   At last all the snow has gone from our garden!    unfortunately we have  a few  trees down due to the weight of the snow and the wind in our woodland.  Ah well that's another job for Hubby lol!   but more logs for our fire.     I hope you are well but to those of you who are feeling  under the weather for what ever reason,  I send healing thoughts and gentle Hugs.

Well, onto tonight's  card.     This was made using a stamp set, given free with  the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine.   I have used Imagination Craft's Antique Gold Starlight paint for the beads around her head, arm and bodice, and a piece of silver paper for the mirror she is holding.

Matt a square of navy card onto the 7" x 7" white base card, leaving a good half inch border of the white showing.

Matt some of the patterned given with the free kit onto the navy, leaving a small border of the navy showing.   Matt a piece of navy card approximately two & a quarter inches deep onto the patterned paper, across the centre of the card.

Stamp the two sentiments onto spare white card using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder.   Trim these to size and edge each one with a  gold Promarker pen.

Glue in position in the top right and bottom left corners.

Die-cut a tag from white card using the Tim Holtz Sizzix die set.   Colour the front rectangle of the tag with watered down Tumbled glass and Mowed lawn distress inks.   Stamp the mermaid onto the tag using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder.

Remove the background ink on her face, neck and arms by using a wet paintbrush, leaving for a couple of seconds, then blotting off with some kitchen paper, this should lift the paint from these areas.    Paint the rest of her with  pearly paints, or watered down mica powders.

Add dots of Antique gold Starlight paint to the beads on her head, around her arms and on her bodice.

Paint the eyelet with the gold Starlight and glue to the top of the tag.   Thread some gold cord
through the hole and glue a clear star gem to the top of the tag.

Fix the tag across the base card on a slight angle, using sticky foam pads.   Stamp the starfish, fish, shells and four of the underwater plants with black ink onto spare white card, colour with Promarker pens, then cut them out.

Glue these to the card front.

Fix the fish and shells to the bottom right using silicone glue.    Well that's it lovelies, all finished.   Hope you like it.    Take good care of yourselves and I'll be back again soon.

                                                              Love and Rainbows,

                                                               Hugs   Jennifer xx,
