'Circle of Dreams.'

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hoping you are all safe and keeping well and enjoying your weekend, whatever you are  doing.    Thank you all once more for your kind comments and all your visits to my last blog post, it is so nice to have some feedback.    Well, it is time again for another creation.  Today I'd like to share a card I made for Sue Baker of Imagination Crafts.   This was made using the 'Serene Chic,' a very pretty collection, for Imagination Craft's  shows on the Create & Craft T.V.  Channel. earlier this year.

Take a square of white card  cut slightly smaller than the 7" x 7"  white base card.   Add a small amount of the sunshine, orange, green and red Mixed media spray inks to a glass worktop and add some water to each colour.     Then paint around the outside edges of the card.   (No  need to colour the whole square, as the centre will not be seen).

When dry, lay the stencil (bark design) onto it and spread the Shabby Chic matt relief paste - Ashy Rose. through the design, lift off the stencil and repeat until the outer edges of the card are covered and leave to dry.

Lay the stencil back in position over the relief paste and add a thin layer of the Malahit finger wax over the surface of the relief paste, using a stencil brush.

Matt and layer this onto a 7" x 7" white base card.

Using another square of white card half an inch smaller than the coloured card, paint all four edges with the Malahit finger wax, again, no need to colour the centre.   Matt and layer this onto the coloured card, using double sided sticky tape and some Magi-bond glue, so it gets a good hold on the relief paste.

Take a slightly smaller piece of white card and colour the edges with the Vintage Photo & Antique Linen Distress Inks, getting lighter towards the centre of the card.

Lay the branch circle design from the stencil onto the centre of the card and spread the Ashy Rose relief paste through the design, using a metal spatula.

Remove stencil and leave the image to dry.

When dry,  re-position the stencil and using a small stencil brush, stipple the Malahit finger wax over the berries on the branches.

Colour  some piece of white card with the Malahit, White Gold & the Antique Pink and punch out a number of small flowers from each colour and glue in position on the branches.   I used a small flower punch which was given free with a Craft Magazine many years ago.

Glue one flower in each corner of the card.   Matt and layer this card onto the base card.
Lay the birds from the stencil onto a piece of white card and stipple some Malahit through them.  Cut them out and arrange them inside the circle, using silicone glue.

Lay the word 'Dreams' from the stencil onto some white card and dab the brown  Versafine ink through the stencil.   Lift off the stencil and re-position it but off-setting the stencil slightly and stipple the Antique Pink finger wax through the stencil.  Remove the stencil and trim around the word.

Fix this across the centre of the card on a slight angle and the card is finished.

Once again apologies for so many photos but I do think they explain things a lot easier than I can lol!  a picture always helps.    Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope you all have a good week next week.   Thanks for sticking with me until the end of my blog.   Catch you all again very soon.   Be happy and enjoy your crafting.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
