Hello Everyone,
It's me back again I'm afraid lol. Well aren't I the good girl ! another early in the day post for me, I'm getting into the habit of this now, so hopefully no more posts at midnight, which I know will please my Hubby, who thinks I go to bed in the middle of the night lol! Today I have something a little different for you, a tag I made for Sue and Harvey in February 2013. I tried to keep the colours to the warmer shades of brown with some white. I used Imagination Craft's gorgeous 'Butterflies' Gilding Stamp Set.
Begin by making a tag shape from white card and punch a hole in the centre at the top of the tag. Cut out another tag shape but slightly smaller than the base tag, again from white card.
Colour this card with the distress inks, Walnut stain, Frayed burlap, Tattered rose, Dried marigold and Victorian velvet and stamp the main butterfly image onto the centre using a black ink pad. Stamp the flourish in black ink at the top and bottom right of the card. Overstamp this with Versamark and heat emboss using white embossing powder.
Stamp the butterflies onto white card, colour and cut out and heat emboss the circles on the butterfy wings, with white embossing powder. Glue the butterflies to the tag.
Die-cut one seed head (Memory Box) from black satin card and one from white card. Cover the white seed head with Versamark and heat emboss using copper embossing powder. Glue the copper one on top of the black but, slightly off set the copper one. Rub Versamark around the edges of the tag and heat emboss with copper embossing powder.
Glue a white die-cut border strip, in this case Spellbinders, down each side of the tag. Wrap a piece of white ribbon around the card. Glue this to the larger white base tag and add some ribbon to the hole in the top of the tag.
Well that's it finished folks, hope you like it. Thank you for visiting my blog, Please leave me a comment and I will visit your blog in return. Would love it if you would join my blog, a girl can't have enough crafting friends lol! and I will reciprocate by joining yours.
