Autumn Leaves.

Good evening All,

What a glorious day it has been,.   blue skies and sunshine, the trees are such beautiful colours at the moment but I suspect they will fall from the trees rapidly, as a ground frost is forecast for us tonight lol!   Talking of Autumn leaves, leads me to my next card,   made in September 2015 for Imagination Crafts.

Fold the white scalloped  card in half down the centre crease line, making a 6" square card.   Matt squares and  oblongs of black and turquoise card onto the front of the base card, leaving a a border of white showing.   Next matt a smaller square of pink card onto the black/turquoise card, again leaving a border showing.

Spread some Starlight paints onto a non-stick worksheet and leave to dry.   In the meanwhile, die-cut the lacy square, using the Marianne Design die, from pink card and colour, using the iced spruce distress ink pad.   Glue this to the centre of the pink card.      Die-cut the smaller square, using some black card and the Craftwell die, then glue that  to the centre of the lacy square.   Take the black square with the cut off corners and stamp the Lavinia leaf spray stamp onto the centre, using some gilding glue.

Go back to the Starlight paints that you spread on your work sheet and scrape the paint off the sheet, using the side edge of  the  metal spatula.    (a bit like scraping melted chocolate  from a board to make chocolate curls for decorating the top of a cake.)

Spread these flaky bits onto the gilding glue and press down, then brush away any excess.   Matt this onto a slightly larger  piece of pink card and trim around the edges  to match the design of the black card and matt this onto the black square.

Die-cut 2 leaves from black card, using the Marianne Design die.   Cover with the gilding  glue and spread the 'scraped up' Starlight paints over the gilding glue to cover the leaves, press onto the leaves, then brush away any excess.

Glue a  leaf in the top left and the bottom right corners.

Draw an uneven, squiggly' line around the edges of the base card, using a fine line, black pen.   Add three dots of Jade Detail Sparkle in each corner.

Well that's all from me for the moment.   Enjoy your Wednesday and I will be back again soon.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                            Crafty Hugs    Jennifer xx.

  1. Beautiful card Jennifer, I love the colours and design, your leaves are gorgeous.
Lucky to be able to be first at Sue's stall at the show and be able to have a lovely chat, and a bit of advice on acetate. Got most of what I wanted, except for the black sparkle medium and the new pensions, but delighted with my purchases, now just need to get started using them, Kate x
