'Butterfly Blossom' Tag.

Hello there Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Hope you have all had a great weekend and you have had a good start to your week.     The weather here has been glorious. lovely to see the sunshine instead of grey skies lol!

I received some 'Happy Post' from Imagination Crafts on Friday....Yeah!  so I have been making some samples using some gorgeous new rice paper designs and stencils.

Tonight I would like to share another tag with you made for the challenge Sue set me a while ago.   This one is made with one of my favourite stencils - Summer Blossom Border stencil, such a pretty design.

Cut a large tag shape from white card.   Cut a smaller tag shape from the patterned panel  card - 'shutters, pepper'  from Imagination Crafts.   Colour the edges with some Festive Berries distress ink and a piece of cut 'n' dry foam or a blending tool.

Lay the 'Summer Blossoms' stencil onto the panel card with the flowers on the right-hand edge of the card.   Spread the white stencil medium over the design, using the metal spatula.   (Today I would use Imagination's fabulous 'Structure paste' instead of the stencil medium).   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.  The stencil medium will soak up some of the colour from the distress ink, which gives a subtle colour to the flowers.   When dry, add a little more festive berries distress ink to the edges of the coloured tag.

Fix a piece of organza ribbon across the bottom of the tag, securing on the reverse of the tag.   Matt this tag onto the large white tag and punch a hole in the top of the tag.   Add some ribbon through the hole and a ribbon bow to the bottom left.

Add some sage green Sparkle Medium to the flower centres,  I use a cocktail stick to add  this.

Die-cut  two butterflies using the Memory Box die, from black card and colour with the 'White Gold' Starlight wax.      Glue the butterflies to the front of the tag .

All that remains to be done, is to make a stand for the back of the tag, so it can be stood up if wished.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.    Enjoy the rest of your week and I'll be back soon with another project.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                               Crafty Hugs   Jennifer xx.
