Reach for the Stars Tag.

Hello Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Well here we are again, it's Friday!    these weeks are flying by.   Thank you all so much for visiting and commenting on my last blog, your visits and lovely  comments give me so much encouragement, which I really appreciate, so a big THANK YOU.

Today has also gone by so quickly, I don't seem to have got much of anything done today lol!!   I did manage a little time in my craft room making samples for Sue & Harvey of Imagination Crafts.   They have some shows coming up soon on Hochanda in November - yeah!   look forward to that lol!   I will let you know the date as soon as I know.

Tonight I would like to share another tag, made for the challenge Sue gave me some time ago.   This tag uses Imagination's beautifully elegant 'Star touch fairy' stencil.   I just adore her, such a gorgeous shape, wish I had a figure like her lol!!!    O.K. let's get started.

Make a large tag shape from white card.   Cut out a slightly smaller tag from white card.   Colour this with the distress inks - Milled lavender, Evergreen bough & Seedless preserves, adding the Rusty Patinas - Soot, Duck egg & Verdigris..   Rub over the surface with the White Gold Starlight Wax.   Add some Hunter Green Sparkle Medium in the odd place.   Pull a cocktail stick through the Rusty Patinas, whilst still wet.

Colour a small piece of white card with the Gold Shine Sparkle Medium and when dry, die-cut the corner shape from it, using the Tattered Lace corner die.   Glue this to the bottom left corner of the smaller tag.

Print out the words   'Reach for the Stars' on your computer,  trim  around each word and  glue onto some white card.   Glue in position on the tag.

Lay the fairy stencil onto a small piece of acetate and spread the Gold Shine Sparkle Medium over the stars only, using a metal spatula.   When dry, trim around the stars leaving a 'stalk' of acetate below the stars.   Glue this 'stalk' to the back of the coloured tag, then glue this tag to the larger white tag.

Lay the stencil onto some white card and colour the fairy with the distress inks, using a piece of cut 'n' dry foam.

Rub a small amount of the Antique Pink Alchemy Wax onto part of the fairy.   Trim around her, leaving a tiny white border showing, which will make her stand out from the dark background.   Fix her to the tag using sticky foam pads with a little Magi-bond glue on each sticky pad, as I feel this sticks better on top of all the different mediums.

Punch a hole in the top of the tag and thread some green and pink satin ribbon through the hole.   Make a stand and attach this to the back of the tag, so it can be stood up if wished.

Well that is this tag finished,  hope you like it, I did enjoy making this tag,  as I just love anything to do with fairies etc., as you already know lol!

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned, where ever you will be.   Take good care of yourselves until my next blog.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
