Good Tuesday evening my lovelies,
Hope you have all had a pleasant day, if not here's a hug from me should you need one a hug always helps.
Tonight I'd like to share a card with you that I made in April 2009 for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts.
This card uses their Magi-Boss Chunky embossing powder, which comes in some beautiful colours. OK are you ready to begin? off we go then lol!
Fold some cream A4 card in half portrait style. Take a piece of black card approx. 21/2" wide and trim
one long edge with the Woodware trimmer, fitted with the scalloped blade. Leave the other long edge straight. Put this into the swirls cuttlebug folder or similar and put through an embossing machine. Remove card from folder and rub some Versmark over the design and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.
Take some gold wire edged ribbon and cut off some of the wire edging and curl into a spring shape, put this to one side for the moment. Cut and fix a piece of the gold mesh to the back of the straight edge of the black card. Glue this panel approx. 1/4" in from the left hand edge of the base card. Fix a piece of gold adhesive braid across the bottom of the black panel. Do not glue down the mesh. Tear some of the black marbled paper into triangular shapes and glue underneath the gold mesh, butting up to the embossed panel. Using the off cuts of the gold embossed swirls, cut out two corner shapes Cut a narrow strip of black card using the trimmer with the scalloped edge and glue down the right hand side of the base card, 1/4" from the right hand edge of the base card.
Cut out two swirls from the off cuts and glue one to the top right and one to the bottom right. Cut a piece of ribbon mesh and glue to the centre of the base card approx 3" in from the right edge. Take the flower chippie and using a cropodile (cuts through mdf like butter, a fabulous tool to own!) and punch a small hole at the top of each flower petal. Rub the Versamark pad over the flower chippie and heat emboss using the black Magi-Boss powder and sprinkle some of the purple and green Magi-Boss onto it whilst still hot. Repeat this once more using the clear Magi-Boss, heat again and whilst still hot, sprinkle some gold glitter over the flower.
When cool, thread some gold thread through the holes. Fix a piece of gold mesh to the back of the flower. Glue the flower onto some coloured paper and trim away any excess paper. Fix the flower to the card, using sticky foam pads. Stick a clear/gold heart dome sticker to the centre of the flower and glue the gold wire spring that you made earlier, over the top of the domed sticker.
Well that's it, this card does take quite a bit of time to make but I do hope you think the extra time spent making it, is worth while.
Take care of yourselves and have a good week. See you all again in a couple of days. Thanks for visiting my blog and your comments are greatly appreciated.
Love and rainbows,
Big Hugs Jennifer xx
