Hi Peeps,
Well it is time again for me to share another card with you. This card was made in June 2013 for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts. This is for all you pussy cat lovers out there and I know there are a great many of you.
Before we get started, I would like to welcome my two latest followers, Amy and Carol. So pleased you have decided to join my lovely family of followers and I will visit your blogs in return. A girl can't have enough crafty followers lol! Hope you find some inspiration for your card making.
Make a base card from black card and onto this matt some shiny black card. Take a piece of red/white spotted paper, cut slightly smaller than the black card and matt onto the black.
Take another piece of black shiny card and lay the Santa and Sleigh stencil on top and spread the mink Sparkle Medium over it, using the metal spatula. Remove stencil and leave image to dry.
Round off all four corners using the Woodware corner rounder punch and punch the holly in the top right and bottom left corners. Fix some white card, coloured green behind the holly leaves. The red paper will show through the holes where the berries are.
Take a piece of white card and stamp the main image from 'The cat on the windowsill' stamp set, five times using a brown ink pad.
Colour with Promarker pens and cut out. Use one whole image as a base and 3D the rest onto the base. Cut out the window panes before 3D ing the image. Stamp a ribbon bow, colour it red and glue to the top right of the card.
Well that's it finished a very easy card to make and quite quick too. One little tip, you could add some acetate behind the window frame for the glass. Hope you like it. I'm off to do some commenting on my friend's blogs now. See you all very soon. In the meanwhile, take care of yourselves and above all have a fun filled weekend.
Love and rainbows,
Crafty Hugs Jennifer xx.

I LOVE it! Enjoyed reading how-to's also. Really liked the way you have Santa behind that fab window for Kitty to spy, and the holly corners were lovely with the black shiny paper. This card definitely does not sound or look easy! But if you say it is, I'll believe it! Certainly very gorgeous - for sure. Merry Christmas and TFS. Hugs too.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, thank you so much for your lovely comment, you are very kind. This card is truly easy to make. The Sparkle medium and stencil make the background very easy. The Sparkle Medium is so quick to spread and gives a fantastic effect without too much hard work. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and good health and happiness for 2015.
