Hi there Lovelies,
Well what fantastic shows on Hochanda today, Sue was brilliant as she always is. She fitted in so many demonstrations, showing so many different techniques. Hope you managed to tune in, or maybe you recorded the shows to watch later at your leisure.
I would just like to welcome my newest follower Jane. I do hope you enjoy visiting my blog and thanks for following.
Tonight I would like to share another MDF Owl tea light. I have decorated this one a little differently from my green and gold owl tea light.
This owl tea light kit consists of the mdf parts below.
Paint the two solid sides inside and out with the Dried Rose Starlight paint. Paint the base inside and out too. Paint the owls, back and front with the Platinum Starlight paint. Paint the leaves and the border with the black Starlight paint.
Lay the 'random stars' stencil onto both of the insides of the two solid sides and on the inside of the base and spread the black stars Sparkle Medium over them, using the metal spatula. When dry, fix the tea light parts together by putting the tabs onto the slots. Fix the sides together first then fix on the base last of all.
Die cut four honeysuckle squares from black card, using the Memory Box die and paint them with the Platinum and black Starlight paints. Glue two of these squares to each of the solid sides of the tea light, using Magi-bond glue.
Die-cut ten large and ten small flowers from white card, using the Memory Box die. Colour these flowers with the platinum Starlight paint. Glue the small flowers onto the large flowers and glue these to the honeysuckle die-cuts. Add a pink gem to the centre of each flower.
Glue 8 pink gems to the breast of each owl using Magi-bond glue.
All there is left to do, is to add a battery operated wax candle to the inside of the tea light - no fire risk!! sit back and enjoy the sparkle lol!! The picture below shows the inside of the tea light.
That's all for now my friends, I will be back in a couple of days, so I'll see you all then. Take care of yourselves and happy crafting.
Love and rainbows,
Big Hugs Jennifer xx.
