Gilding Flakes Flower.

Hi Folks,

The weather has been quite nice here today, blue skies and some sunny spells with an odd shower of light rain.   Managed to fit in some crafting time this afternoon,  putting some finishing touches to my samples before posting them to Sue & Harvey of Imagination Craft's for their first show on the new Hochanda T.V. Channel on the 10th of September, not too long to wait now!   as today is the 1st. September, goodness me this year has gone so fast!     Tonight's card was made using my Gelli plate for the background and Imagination Craft's Lilies decoupage stamp set.

Make a base card from white card stock.   Matt a slightly smaller piece of navy onto the white, leaving a small border of the white showing.

Put a mixture of watercolour paints of your choice, onto the Gelli Plate, leaving some parts uncovered.   Lay a piece of white paper over it and gently rub your hand across the paper.   Remove the paper.   (This could be used to make paper flowers or for another background).   Lay the frilly butterflies  stencil onto the left-over paint on the Gelli Plate and dab more paint over the stencil and, whilst still wet, add some gold mica powder in a few places.

The sheen from the mica powder unfortunately does not show up very well on these  photos.

Remove the stencil and give the Gelli Plate a couple of spritzes of water and and cover with a fresh piece of white paper and rub your hand over it.   Remove the paper and leave to dry.     When dry, matt onto the navy card.

Stamp the flower stamp onto a piece of navy card, using the gilding glue and cover with  gilding flakes.   Brush away the excess flakes using a special soft brush.   Cut around the design.

Matt this onto a piece of white card and then onto some navy card.   Glue this image to the centre of the base card.     Well that's it finished.   Have a fabulous Wednesday and I'll be back again on Thursday all being well, so see you all then.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                Crafty Hugs   Jennifer xx.
