P P Pick up a Penguin for Christmas !

Good afternoon Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Hope everyone is well, warm and snug.   As I sir here writing this post, it is very cold and there are
intermittent snow showers.   It is above freezing at the moment but if the wet snow freezes tonight it will be quite treacherous later and in the morning.   Take care if you have to venture out.   Talking of ice and snow, brings me to my  card for today, another quick and easy Christmas card to make.

Fold a piece of A5 white linen card in half, portrait style, making an A6 base card.   Lightly colour the front of the card with the Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, using a blending tool or a piece of  cut 'n' dry foam.

Ink up the Snowflakes Rollagraph stamp with the Tumbled Glass distress ink and run the roller up the sides and across the top and bottom of the base card.   ( You don't have to use a Rollagraph stamp, as you could just use any snowflake stamp you have in your craft stash).

Die-cut a large scalloped oval from white linen card.     Cut some copy paper into some mountain shapes and lay it across the oval.   Colour the oval with the tumbled glass ink, whilst holding the mountain shapes in place, again using a blending tool, creating some snow covered mountains.   Remove the copy paper.

Die-cut the penguin from white card and from black.   Use the white eye, snowflakes and the penguin front and the black back of the penguin.   Fix these together, creating one whole black and white penguin.    The eye, dots and snowflakes should just slot into  position on the cut out back of the penguin.

Die-cut the fish  and colour with blue and green Promarker Pens.   Glue the fish to the underside of the penguin's beak and glue the penguin to the right hand side of the oval.

Die-cut the baby penguin from some white card and colour it with a tan Promarker Pen.   Die-cut the baby from black card also and use the four black circles, one for the eye and  three for the base of the baby.   Add a black circle to the eye of the fish.   Glue the baby to the left of the larger penguin.

Rub a little black soot distress ink around the edges of the scalloped oval and glue it to the centre of the base card.

Add a silver peel off star to the centre of the oval.   Stamp Merry Christmas in black onto a piece of white linen card, trim and fix it to the right of the card, using some sticky foam pads.

Well that's this one finished.    I forgot to mention the penguin dies were a set given free with a craft magazine recently.     Thank you all so much for taking the time to visit my blog and for those of you who have left ne a comment, I really appreciate your interest and support.    Please visit again soon, many thanks.   Stay snug and warm and above all, stay safe during this cold spell.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                  Happy Crafting!   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
