Platinum Star Burst.

Hello there,

Hope you are all enjoying  some relaxing time over the Christmas/New Year Break.   We have had a couple of quiet days.   I should be sorting out my craft room before the  craft shows begin again !  I did pop my head in the door but thought better of it lol!   I really must force myself to get in there and
tidy up!   and not get distracted by wanting to craft lol!    a New Year's resolution maybe!!!   Thank you all so much for visiting my blog and your lovely comments which are much appreciated.

Tonight I would like to share a card which was made for Imagination Craft's for one of the shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel in November this year.

Matt a square of dark green card onto the 7" x 7" white base card, leaving a small border of the white showing.

Take a slightly smaller square of white card and paint it with the Platinum Starlight Paint.

Take the starburst stencil and mask out the shapes around the centre circle with masking tape.   Lay the stencil onto the platinum coloured card and spread the Structure Paste over the design,  including the four corners,  using the metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and wash and dry it, as we will be using it again.

When the image is dry, re-lay the stencil back in position on the structure paste image.   Colour the corners with the green and the dots with the Amethyst Starlight Paints, using the large stencil brushes.

Colour the outer circle with the Lavender, the next circle with the Amethyst, the next circle with the green and finally the centre with the Amethyst Starlight Paints.

Remove the masking tape from  the shapes around the  outer circle and stipple the green paint through the shapes.   (These shapes have no structure paste added,  they are just painted straight onto the platinum coloured card, which gives a layered look to the card, adding a little interest to the finished project).

Die-cut a flower using the Spellbinder's die and cut away the centre of the flower.   Colour this flower with the green and amethyst Starlight Paints.   Glue this to the centre of the circle.

Glue this onto the dark green matt and the card is finished.

That's all from me for the moment, I will be back again soon.   In the meantime stay safe and warm during this icy cold spell.   Hopefully milder weather is on the way lol!

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.

'Evening Bag Special.'

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope everyone is safe and well and you  haven't had too much snow.   Snow makes for beautiful Winter scenes but is not nice when you have to drive or work in it!   We left home at 8am. this morning and the temperature was -7 degrees.   It stayed  that way until just after lunch, when it rose to the heady heights of -4 degrees lol!    Fortunately the roads were clear.   The sun actually came out for some time.   I have to say the hills looked beautiful covered with snow.   Well enough chit chat and onto tonight's card.    This card was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's in July this year.   I have used their very pretty evening bag stencil along with Starlight paints, Structure Paste, Clear embossing pad and Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

Using a piece of white card, lay the evening bad stencil onto it.   Stipple the green Starlight paint over the main part of the bag, the menthol on the lace and the antique gold on the metal bag clasp and dots, using the large stencil brush.   Remove the stencil and wash it and the brush as soon as you can, as this paint dries very quickly and it may be more difficult to remove if left.

Return the stencil in the same position over the coloured bag image.   Using the metal spatula, spread some Structure paste over the tassel only.   Remove the stencil and leave the tassel to dry.   Lay the stencil back onto the tassel and stipple some amethyst Starlight paint over the tassel only.   Remove the stencil and cut out the bag.

Add some purple Stckles glitter glue to all the dots on the bag and strap.

Die-cut two corner pieces using the Intricut  corner die from white card and paint with the Antique gold Starlight paint.   Lay them in position, one top right and the other bottom left but do not glue in position yet.   Mark where the words will be stamped with a pencil mark, so they will be on line with each other.

Remove the die-cuts and stamp the words with a clear embossing pad and heat emboss with the Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

Next glue the corners in position, using some Magi-bond glue.

Fix the bag 9n the centre of a 7" x 7" white base card, using sticky foam pads to add dimension to the card.

Die-cut and make 6 medium sized roses and two small ones from white card pained with watered down Amethyst Starlight paint, using the Sizzix dies.   Roll them up and glue, then glue them to the top left and bottom right corners of the base card.   Add a little amethyst Starlight paint   (not watered down), to the petal edges.

Well that's it finished, hope you like it.   Thank you for visiting my blog.    Stay safe and warm, enjoy your week.   I will be back again soon.  Happy crafting

                                                                   Love and rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Christmas Angel MDF Bauble.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Thank you all for your comments and for taking the time to visit my blog.   I do hope you enjoyed your visit.   Tonight I would like to share my fourth MDF Christmas bauble, which was made for Sue & Harvey of Imagination Crafts and was shown on their latest shows on 27th & 28th. August 2016, on the Hochanda T.V. Channel.

These baubles were designed by Lisa B. especially for Imagination Crafts and are a fabulous concept, as you can mix and match them, you decide which bauble goes to the back and which one goes on the front.   A spacer bauble can go between two of them, or you  can just use one only,  or 3, the choice is yours.   I decided to use only 2 this time.    It is just like 3D decoupage, except it is with MDF and not card lol!

(1)    Paint both the star and angel baubles with the white MDF paint

(2)    Paint the large star, back and front with the rich gold Starlight paint.
.
(3)    Using a black ink pad, stamp the Christmas text stamp onto the front of the star.   The star bauble will go behind the angel bauble, with the stars on the right.)

(4)    Lay the angel bauble on a piece of white card and draw around the angel.  Cut this out.

(5)    Paint the head of the angel with Platinum  and the halo around the angel's head, with the rich gold
Starlight paints.   Glue 6 small, star gems around the halo.

(6)    Using your finger, dab the 3 colours of Sparkle Medium over the angel's wings.

(7)    Glue some material to the angel's dress and secure on the back of the white card.   Glue some white
lace around the neck and the hem of the dress.

(8)    Paint the outside of the  angel bauble with the amethyst Starlight paint, adding a touch of the
menthol, to tone the amethyst down a little.

(9)    Glue the finished angel to the MDF angel, using Magi-bond glue, bending the wings up slightly,
then add some silicone glue under both wings.

(10)   Paint the trailing ivy Art Cutz with the Menthol and rich gold Starlight Paints and put to one side
          for the moment.

(11)   Glue a ribbon loop to the inside back of the bauble holder, then glue the 2 baubles together, using
a good strong glue.   I used Imaginations Magi-bond glue.  (Just a little tip I'd like to share with you,
I  put some scrap pieces of  paper over the edges of the bauble and clamp them together using
bulldog clips over the paper, to hold the baubles together until the glue has set.)

(12).   Glue a ribbon bow to the holder.

(13)   Glue the painted trailing ivy Art Cutz to the top left of bauble front.

Well that's it finished my friends, hope you like it.   I will be back in a couple of days with another card I made for the Hochanda T.V. show, so catch you all then.

                                                                 Love and Rainbows,

                                                        Happy crafting.   Hugs   Jennifer xx

'Joy, Noel, Snow Christmas Wall Hanging.

Good evening all,
What a glorious day it has been here, hope you have been enjoying some lovely sunshine too, where ever you are.    As promised here is another creation I made for Imagination Craft's  shows on the Hochanda  T.V. Channel today.    Great shows and fabulous techniques and demonstrations by our lovely Sue and Lisa B.   My hanging was featured on the shows, which was really nice.   I will now explain how I made this wall hanging.   Please bear with me as this post has many photos of the  different stages.   Thanks for stopping by my blog, I do hope you enjoy your visit.

Each word is decorated in the same way.

(1)    Paint the words back, front and the edges with the chalk white MDF paint.   Not sure why but the
white paints looks slightly blue on this photo!    it is most definitely white lol!

(2)    Cover with stencil medium, added roughly with a metal spatula.

(3)    Star die, cut 3 times and painted with Antique Gold Starlight paint, then added to the wet stencil
         Medium.

(4)    Colour added to the words with the cobalt and  peridot Alchemy Waxes.

(5)    Gold Starlight paint spread very lightly over the surface.

(6)    Antique gold paint, painted around the edges of each letter.

(7)    Die-cut  6 pine branches and paint with the Menthol Starlight paint and add some Peridot Alchemy
         Wax.

(8)     Die-cut 3 sets of poinsettias and paint with the Orange Oxidised Starlight paint.   Paint the poinsettia
centres with the Antique Gold paint, adding a touch of peridot wax.

(9)    The Alder tree cones are from our trees which have fallen to the ground.   I painted 3 sets of 3 cones,
using the Antique Gold Starlight paint.

(10)   Glue the Alder tree cones, the poinsettias and the pine branches to each word, at the top of each
letter 'O', one slightly to the right, one in the centre and the other to the left.

(10)   Thread some emerald green satin ribbon through the holes in each word,  joining the words together.

(11)   Finally add a ribbon bow to the hanger at the top.      All that remains to be done, is to hang it up at
         at Christmas lol!

Well I do hope you are still with me lol!   I know my post is photo heavy lol!  but I do hope you will purchase these products and give this a go.  It is such a nice feeling putting up a decoration you have made yourself, rather than an expensive shop bought product, you get so much more satisfaction knowing you have made it.

I'll be back soon, hope you will be too,  if I haven't bored you all with all the photos ha! ha!   Have a great week.

                                                                  Love and Rainbows,

                                                                Crafty Hugs    Jennifer xx.

Forest Fir Trees card. A 'Sneaky Peek.'

Hi there again Followers, Friends and Visitors,

What a beautiful day it has been here today, in more ways than one lol!  Hubby said he would take me out to lunch and visit all  three  craft shops in and around our area !   yeah !!   bought quite a few things to go with my ever growing crafty stash.     Going to have a play with them sometime tomorrow.   I am also working on some new Imagination Craft's products for their next shows on the Hochanda T.V Channel on the 26th August, the times I will tell you nearer the show.   Well onto tonight's sneaky peek.    I have used two of Imagination's fabulous Art stamps,  Christmas Text and Fir Trees.   Fir trees is a negative stamp, meaning, that the ink goes on the background, leaving the actual image  ie: the fir trees,  unstamped.   The text is a positive stamp, ie: the actual image is stamped, leaving the background unstamped.   It did  take me a little time to get my head around the positive/negative thing but  they are beautifully designed stamps.   The trees can be stamped on all sorts of backgrounds and that background will form the trees.

(1)    Fold the white base card in half down the crease line, making a 7"x7"  card to work on.

(2)    Using the Versamark pad, stamp the text down the left-hand  side of the base card and heat emboss
         with detail gold embossing powder.

(3)    Wrap a piece of cream organza ribbon across the centre of a piece of lavender paper, approximately
6" long by one and a half inches deep., securing on the reverse.   Glue this across the centre of the
         base card.

(4)    Take some white card  and colour it with the Amethyst, Cyclamen, Menthol, Antique gold & Topaz
Starlight paints, using a brayer if you have one, if not use a paintbrush.   When this is dry, which will
not take long, stamp the fir trees onto it, using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with black
         embossing powder.

(5)    Trim the image down, leaving a tiny border of the coloured card showing, then matt this onto a
piece of white card, again leaving a tiny border of the white showing.

(6)    Next, matt the image onto a slightly larger piece of lavender paper.

(7)    Glue this to the right-hand side of the base card and add a ribbon bow to the  left of the image.

Well that's all for now my friends.   Please pop back tomorrow when I will have another 'sneaky peek.'  this time it will be an MDF creation for Christmas.    Please do not forget to tune in, or set your recorders for Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V Channel on the 16th August 2016 at 10am.  1pm  and 5pm. when our lovely Sue and Lisa B will be demonstrating different  techniques.   Catch you all tomorrow.

                                                                   Love and rainbows,

                                                                  Crafty Hugs to you all.

                                                                         Jennifer xx.

Flowers by the Barrow Load. Another 'Sneaky Peek.'

Hi there Everyone,

Happy Sunday, hope you're having a lovely weekend.   As the Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel gets nearer, I thought I would sneak in another 'Sneaky Peek'  for you.   Please don't forget to tune in on Monday 20th June, when Sue and Gwen will be showing you some great techniques.

My card today uses Imagination's black satin card, Sparkle Mediums and the flower barrow stencil.   Hope you like it.

Matt a smaller piece of red paper onto your 7"x7" cream base card.   Take a square of the black satin card and lay the wheelbarrow stencil onto it.   Spread the Sparkle Medium colours through the design, using the metal spatula.   I prefer to do each colour separately and wait until that is dry before doing the next colour.   I tend to mask off everything but the parts I am working on, with masking tape.   This does take a little time but I do think it is worth it in the end lol.   When the image is finished and dry, matt this onto the base card.

Apologies for the slightly blurred photograph, not sure what happened there lol!     Colour some white card with the  red Starlight paint and when dry, die-cut three different sized  roses using the Sizzix dies.    Colour some card with the Emerald Starlight paint and die-cut one large and three small leaves from it, again using the Sizzix dies.

Roll up the roses and glue in position on the wheelbarrow.   Glue the leaves to the roses using silicone glue to give some dimension to the card.

Glue some gems to the handle of the barrow.   Well that's another card finished.   I will be back again very soon.   In the meantime enjoy the rest of your weekend.

                                                                    Love and Rainbows,

                                                                    Big Hugs  Jennifer xx.

'Dance Like There's No One Watching.'

Hello Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Happy Saturday to you all.   The poor little lambs in the field next to us don't know what's hit them lol!  it is bitterly cold out there today and the hill tops are covered with snow!   looks very beautiful though lol!   I have been out and done my shopping and I'm pleased to say,  I'm now sitting in front of our beautiful warm wood burner and that is where I intend to stay lol!!     I can craft on my knee!!!   I thought I would post my blog this afternoon as I want to watch the telly tonight with my Hubby.

My card for today is made using Imagination Craft's wonderful  'ballroom dancers' Art Stamp,   I know I say it every time but I adore this stamp, so beautiful.   Well, here is how I have used it.

Fold a piece of white A4 card in half, portrait style and onto this matt a piece of  lavender paper, leaving a quarter inch border of the white base card showing.

Using a piece of heatproof acetate, just slight;y larger than the stamp, colour one side of it with the alcohol inks, using a blending tool.

When dry, which only takes a few seconds, stamp the ballroom dancers onto the un-inked side,  using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with Imagination Craft's detail silver embossing powder.

Trim around the image, leaving a small border of the inked edge showing and matt onto a slightly larger piece of white card.   Punch 4 small holes, one in each corner and fix a silver brad in each hole.    Matt this onto the base card, on an angle.   One little tip here  lol,    if you trim right up to the edge of the silver embossing, if may chip off so best to leave a small edge beyond the embossed edge.

Die-cut 3 flowers using the Spellbinder's die and paint them with the Starlight paints, adding a little pearl Starlight paint on top of the flowers, to 'tone down. the deepness of the amethyst and bright fuschia Starlight paints.

Paint the die-cut flourish and leaves with the Menthol paint.   Glue a small Dazzler to each flower centre.

Glue a white feather, the flowers, leaves and the flourish to the bottom of the card, using Magi-bond glue.

Well that's this card finished, I do hope you like it and thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I do love to share my creations with you all.   Hope this may give you some inspiration when making your cards and if you are not a card maker, I would like to think this may encourage you to take up this relaxing hobby.

Take care of yourselves, have a great weekend and I'll be back again with more creations very soon.

                                                              Love and rainbows,

                                                           Happy crafting,  Hugs Jennifer xx.
