Gilded Dragonflies.

Good evening all, hope you've all enjoyed your weekend.   My card for tonight was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in December 2012.   I have used one of Imagination's Gilding stamp sets, 'Dragonfly' and ' Forest Glade'  gilding flakes.

Make a 6"x6" base card from white card stock.   Fix a piece of 6"x6" black satin card to the front of the base card.

Take a piece of blue shiny card and trim it down so it is slightly smaller than the black card.   Using the Versamark pad and the small dragonfly stamp, cover the card with dragonflies and heat emboss, using clear embossing powder.

Using a piece of kirchen paper and some Stazon cleaner liquid, rub this over the blue card, which will remove some of the blue colour from the card, which makes the background look like a cloudy summer sky

.

Using the Memory Box ribbon die, die-cut the ribbon from white card.   Cover the die with the gilding glue, then cover with the gilding flakes.   Rub off the excess flakes using a brush and return the left-overs to the jar to be used again.

Wrap a piece of black/white spotted ribbon around the blue card, from the top right to the bottom right and secure to the reverse of the card.   Fix the blue card to the black card.   Glue the die-cut ribbon bow to the left-hand side of the card.

Using the Spellbinder's label 4 die and white card,  cut out and emboss the label.   Colour around the edges with the blue distress ink and stamp the main image onto it, using a black ink pad.   Over stamp the leaves with the gilding glue, then cover with the flakes.   Rub off the excess with a brush.   Draw around the outside edge of the label die onto some black shiny card and cut out.   Glue the white label onto the black and fix to the centre of the base card.

Stamp out two large and one small dragonflies onto white card using a black ink pad.   Over stamp these with the gilding glue and cover with the gilding flakes.   Brush away the excess flakes and cut out the dragonflies.   Glue these to the base card.

Hope you like this card.   I'll be back again in a few days so have a good week, see you soon.
