Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,
Hope you've all had a good weekend and are having a good week so far. My weekend was a quiet one for a change and I managed to get quite a bit of crafting done whilst listening to Gary Barlow's latest CD which I love. The weather has not been good, so no gardening done over the last few days, don't feel so guilty being in my craft room !! well I couldn't garden in the rain, could I ? (any excuse lol!!)
Well onto tonight's card which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's in January this year for the Create and Craft Show on TV and uses their fabulous sparkle medium of course, one of my favourite products. OK let's get started then !
Make a base card from black card stock and onto this, matt a slightly smaller piece of lemon card. Lay the stencil on top of the blue linen patterned card and spread the three sparkle mediums over the design. Spread the colours in diagonal stripes across the card. Remove stencil and leave the image to dry.
When dry, wrap some lilac ribbon down the left hand edge of the card and secure on the reverse. Using the butterfly punch, punch out a butterfly in the bottom right corner of the linen card. This punch does not punch out the butterfly completely but still leaves it attached to the card by the body and you can raise the wings. This is a Tonic punch. Add a ribbon bow.
Fix a piece of gold mirri card behind the punched out butterfy. Now, matt this blue linen card onto the lemon card.
Die cut three butterflies using the black card and the Memory Box butterfly die. Glue these to the base card, fixing one of them to the punched out, raised butterfly in the right hand corner.
Well there we are, the card is now finished, quite a quick card to make if you don't have a lot of time. I hope you like it, I would love to know what you think of it. Take good care of yourselves until we meet again in a few days time. Thank you all for your lovely comments, they are much appreciated.
love and rainbows,
Crafty Hugs Jennifer xx.
such a beautiful card Jennifer - the butterflies look amazing - as does the sparkle medium! The weather here is not inspiring either - great for crafting but not good for the garden - or the run I have planned this morning!!
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel, thank you so much for your comment. I love this Memory Box butterfly die, it's just so pretty. The weather is a bit brighter today but it is so windy it is rattling the windows! Ah well! we can't have it all ways can we? Mustn't grumble, I can remember my two boys making snowmen in June up here lol ! mind you the snow had disappeared by lunch time ! Hope the weather has cheered up this afternoon so you can have your run.
