Good afternoon, Fellow Bloggers, Friends and Visitors,
Hope this post finds you all well. We are halfway through the week, and the weekend is not that far away! Soon the clocks will be put forward one hour which gives us an extra hour of daylight which will be lovely and hopefully we will see some warm, dry weather. Today began with glorious sunshine but it changed rapidly and we are back to cold rainy weather !
Well on to a happier subject now - crafting !! my favourite past time. I get so much satisfaction from making cards and I do enjoy hearing your thoughts on my creations. Thank you so much for your encouraging comments and your visits to my blog. I would like to think that my cards inspire you to take up this lovely hobby. Well, as promised in my last post, here is another card made using the same Imagination Craft's Lilypad Decoupage Stamp Set, which is one of my many favoutites from this craft company. Ok, so off we go.
Make a base card from black card stock and onto this matt a smalle piece of green card. Matt a further piece of black card on top of the green.
Take a piece of pink card and stamp the main image onto the centre using the black Stazon ink pad. Colour the image with a brush, some water and the Imagination Craft's Mica Powders.
Using a die-cutting machine, the Memory Box Tile die and white card, cut out. Colour this using the mica powders. Cut out the background inside the border of the lilypad image and glue the tile die-cut behind it.
Fix the pink card to the left-hand side of the base card. Using the leaf stem from the stamp set, stamp three stems across the top and three across the bottom of the card. Paint the leaves with gold mica powder. Punch out six tiny black circles and glue three to the top right and three to the bottom right of the main image. Stamp the image twice more onto white card, paint, then 3D onto the original image. Colour some white ribbon with a Promarker pen to match the green colour on the lilypad. Add a ribbon bow to the top left of the card.
Cut a strip from the left-over tile die-cut and glue down the right-hand side of the base card. Cut out and emboss the flowers using the Memory Box flower die. Paint them with the gold and pink mica powders.
Glue the flowers down the right-hand side of the card and add a pink rhinestone in the centre of each flower.
Well done all, we've finished ! hope you like the end result. On my next post I will use the same stamp once more but give the card a different look again to the last two. Until then take care my friends. See you soon.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx
