Good afternoon Followers, Friends and Visitors,
Well the big day has been and gone. That is, Sue from Imagination Crafts debut on Create and Craft TV and a brilliant show it was too lol !! a sell out. Looking forward to the next show.
This afternoon I would like to showcase one of the cards I made which was shown on the show. For this card I used Imagination Craft's Peacock and trellis stencils, along with gold shine and turquoise sparkle medium and a little lilac mica powder. Hope you like it, I would love to hear what you think.
Make a base card from black shiny card and matt a smaller piece of turquoise paper onto the black, leaving a small border of the black showing. Next cut a piece of black shiny card slightly smaller than the turquoise paper and put it through an embossing machine, along with the trellis stencil.
Matt this onto the turquoise paper. Do the same with a piece of gold satin card, half the size of the black embossed card. Matt the gold card onto the base card.
Cut out three narrow black strips and glue to the gold card. Cut out and emboss two corner dies from the gold satin card and glue to the top left and the bottom right corners.
Take another piece of black shiny card and lay the trellis stencil on top. Dab some Versamark through the design and brush over some lilac mica powder. Lay the peacock stencil onto this black card and spread the gold and turquoise sparkle medium over it. Remove stencil and leave image to dry.
Repeat this again onto another piece of the black card. When dry, cut out the peacocks from the first image and glue to the base card. Cut out the edges of the feathers, the bird's back and bodies and fix to the first image. (I know this is a little fiddley but it does look very effective in the end lol). So by doing this, you are 3D ing the peacocks. I used silicone glue to do this.
Well, that's it, we are now finished. Have a great weekend whatever you are doing, be good and above all, be happy. See you all soon.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
