Hope everyone is well and happy despite the dull, wet, dreary weather. I'm managing to fit in some crafting time today. We took our little Grandson out a couple of days ago during his school hols and he had his photo taken with three different owls. One was a tiny owl called Fluff and was from Africa, the second was a barn owl and his name was Bilbo and the third owl was the largest European owl and her name was Henrietta. She was my favourite, she was huge and had such beautiful eyes. Our Grandson had to wear a proper glove for protection when he held them but they were so calm, he was delighted to get so close to the birds, he even stroked their chests, we then had some lunch and a happy day was had by all. Well onto today's card. I made this card for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's in November of 2010. At that time they sold this particular stamp set which I adore. It was a Kars Olliphant set art no. 180013/0906. I don't think Imagination Crafts sell this anymore, or indeed if it is still available ! Well let's get started shall we.
This is just a cute stamp set, one of my favourite Olliphant sets. Make a base card from green card stock. Cut two triangles from the purple card and glue one to the top right and the other to the bottom left of the base card. Take a piece of white card, slightly smaller than the purple and cut out a circle from the centre, about three and three quarter inches in diameter. Cover with patterned paper by Kate Knight and cut out the circle. With a black pen, draw dots and dashes around the edge of the circle. Stick some silver heart peel offs around the right hand edge of the circle.
Take a further piece of white card and stamp the girl twice, cut her out and paint her with the Imagination Craft's Inkadinks.. On another piece of white card, stamp the seat using black ink and again colour with the Inkadinks. Colour the sky and the grass. When dry, sit the girl on the seat and stick the second image on top of the first using sticky foam pads or silicone glue.
Stamp the tree and colour with the Inkadinks. Fix the tree to the right of the circle. Stamp the grasshopper, colour and cut it out and glue to the left of the plant pot as though it had just appeared from behind the plant pot.
Fix a little silver peel off heart to the top of her dungarees. Cut long half inch strips from white paper and fringe one long edge with scissors. Curl the straight edge round and glue the end to stop it unwinding. Frill out the petals and colour with the Inkadinks. Glue the flowers to the card which you previously coverd with the patterned paper.
Glue the stamped image of the girl to the centre of the base card then glue the card with the apperture over the image. Fix the fringed flowers to the front of the card and add a small amount of glitter glue to the flowers and just a little around the flowers. There we are, that's it all finished. I think she is so...cute, hope you like her.
