As Smooth As Silk Clematis

Hello Everyone,

Hope your week is going well so far, if not here's a   (((hug)).   Tomorrow is a whole new day lol.   We saw a little sunshine here today whoo hoo ! thought it had disappeared for ever !
The card I'd like to share with you today was made for Sue and Harvey of  Imagination Craft's  in November 2012 for the QVC Show in January 2013. and uses their fabulous Brilliance Set of Mica Powders and a stamp set from the decoupage Stamp Rnge called Clematis.   This stamp looks equally good as a one layer image or as a decoupaged piece.    Ok, are you all ready,  let's get started then.   This is one of my favourite cards, I think it is the silky sheen when it catches the light.

Make a base card from white card stock and onto this matt a piece of black shiny card, leaving a small border of white showing.   Using the trimmer, cut out a smaller square approx. 4" x 4" from cerise shiny card and matt this in a diamond shape onto the black card.

Take more white card and stamp the main image onto it using a Versamark pad and heat emboss using black embossing powder..   Repeat this five times more.   Colour the background of the clematis with distress inks and the flower and leaves, with the mica powders.

Cut out and 3D the flower onto the main image using silicone glue.   Matt this onto a piece of white card stock, cut around the edges with the trimmer, fitted with a pinking blade.   Mount this onto some black shiny card and trim around the edges, leaving a narrow border of black showing.

Using white card, the Memory Box corner die and a die-cutting machine, cut out and emboss four corners.  Paint these with the green/gold mica powder.   Glue one to the middle of each side of the main image.   Fix the main image to the centre of the base card.

Colour a small piece of white card with the bright pink mica powder.   When dry, stamp four of the butterflies from the stamp set, using a black Memento ink pad.   Cut out,  paint the head and bodies with the green/gold mica powder.   Glue a butterfly to each corner of the base card.

Well that's it finished my friends, hope you like it.   This card is not the quickest to make but I feel the extra time is well worth it.   Take care of yourselves until I blog again.

Oh! I nearly forgot to mention - Sue from Imagination Crafts   will be on Create and Craft television on Thursday 6th. February 2014  @ 2pm.    Great excitement this is Sue's debut appearance on C & C  so don't forget to tune in lol !!!   if you can't - set it to record.   She is appearing with Stephanie Weightman, so I guess it will be a fun filled hour lol !!   There will be some wonderful  products and  fab demonstrations from Sue.   I'll be back soon with some of my cards from the show.

                                                               Love and Rainbows,

                                                                  Hugs   Jennifer xx
