Evening Sunset

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope your week has got off to a good start.   Mine has been quiet so far,   did my usual housework this morning, even managed some quality crafting time too lol!    working on more samples for my lovely friends
Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts..    Went to the  hairdressers to get my hair cut,  and I feel like a new woman lol!   should have had it cut before now as it was quite long for me.   It's amazing how a visit to the hairdressers  can make you feel so much better lol!

Well onto more interesting things, like making cards!   Tonight's card was made for Sue and Harvey in February 2012 and uses their really pretty stencil  'birdsong'  and my favourite product of theirs,  black stars sparkle medium.    This is a very quick and easy card to make, really hope you like it.

Make a base card from white card stock and matt a piece of black card onto it, leaving a small border of white showing.   Onto the black card matt some green card, again leaving a small border of black showing.

Cut a piece of white card and colour it with distress inks, using a blending tool.

When dry, lay the 'birdsong' stencil onto the now coloured card and spread the black stars sparkle medium over the design on the stencil, using the metal spatula.

Remove the excess medium and return it to the jar, so nothing  is wasted but only do this if you have used a single colour, otherwise you will contaminate you black medium.   If you have used more than one colour, just return the excess to a spare  jar.   When there is enough in the jar, it can be used for another project.   All the colours mix really well together and can look amazing.   Remove the stencil and wash it.   Leave the image to dry naturally,  I prefer to do this but it can be dryed on a warm radiator if you are short of time..

When the image is dry, matt it onto the green card, leaving a small border of green card showing.   Well that's it folks, it's as easy as that.   I do hope you like it.   Please feel free to leave a comment, I really love to hear what you think.   Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog and if you have left a comment, I will reply to it.

Take good care of yourselves, have a good week and I'll  see you again in a couple of days.

                                                                   love and rainbows,

                                                                 Big Hugs   Jennifer xx

    1. Good morning Rachel, pleased you like my card. I agree this stencil is so pretty, you don't need anything else on your card, just the stencil and sparkle medium and you have a lovely card, except for the background of course but that can be an inked background which takes no time at all. Thank you for your comment Rachel. Hugs xx
