Dragonfly Dance.

Hello everyone,

I do hope you are all having a lovely weekend, despite the changeable weather lol!!   Sunshine and April showers in May!   well can't grumble, it could be worse, we have had snow here in June before but it did not last until the afternoon lol!   Ok then, onto today's card.   I made this way back in June 2011 for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts   and it used their stencil stamp range (not sure if still available)  but you could use similar stamp designs, this particular one was called Dragonfly swirl and diamond set   These stamps all work so well with each other

Make a base card from white card stock.   Matt a piece of light green card onto the white, leaving a small border of the white showing.    Take one piece of lilac and two pieces of white card and punch down one edge of each with the Martha Stewart embossed  zig zag punch.   Layer these together, white, lilac then white again, leaving a little of the previous one showing.   Trim to size and fix to the right hand side of the green card.

Using the flourish stamp from the set, stamp it twice down the left hand side of the card using a Versmark pad and heat emboss with purple and Enchanted Gold embossing powders  by Papermania.   Colour some white card with the Vivid Inks pad - Dynamics and punch out the flower a few times, then 3D them and glue to the centre of the flourishes.   Punch some of the spare coloured card with the Martha Stewart Infinite Loops punch and cut out small pieces and add them to the flower.

Add a little Imagination Craft's Glitz Gel  to the loops on the flower.   Take a piece of white card and colour it with the Vivid inkpad and a piece of cut n' dry foam   Over stamp this with the  dragonflies, swirls and the diamonds stamps from the set.

Using the flower blossom 2 nestability from Spellbinders, die cut a hole on the now coloued card on the bottom right hand side.   Next die-cut another and cover with Versamark and heat emboss with the  purple and the enchanted gold powder.   Add a piece of lilac angel hair to the back of the die-cut and glue over the hole on the card so that the green card shows through the angel hair.

Lay the Imagination Craft's  diamond stencil on top of the stamped diamonds and add some Versamark to the diamond edges and heat emboss with the purple powder.

Trim around the piece of stamped, coloured, card with a pair of pinking shears and glue to the base card.   Next take a piece of white card and stamp the dragonfly from the set, three times with Versamark and heat emboss with the purple and the enchanted gold embossing powders.   Cut out and glue to the front of the card.   Lastly, add a small yellow ribbon bow to the top right-hand side of the card.

Well that's it folks, not such a quick card to make but looks quite effective I think, hope you think so too.   Thank you  for popping by to say hello and hopefully, leaving a comment lol!    I do appreciate your visits and I hope you can gain some inspiration from my cards and if you don't already make cards, it may encourage you to take up this fabulous, satisfying hobby.   Until my next post, stay well and above all be happy!

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
