Hello Followers, friends and visitors,
Thank you all so much for visiting my blog and leaving some wonderful comments. I really love to hear what you think of my creations and hope they may give you some inspiration for your own cards. Just thought I'd pop in an extra post tonight. I received a beautiful Lavinia fairy stamp free with a craft magazine and as I adore fairies in any form, I just had to make a card using her, so here it is. She is really pretty. I have used Imagination Craft's sparkle medium and their daisy dots stencil along with their 'nature' set of mica powders
Make a base card from the black shiny card and matt a slightly smaller piece of pink paper onto the black, leaving a small border of the black showing. Take the patterned paper and lay the stencil on top and spread the sparkle medium over it using a metal spatula. When dry, matt this onto the pink paper.
Cover a piece of black card with Versamark and sweep colours of the mica powders across it. Brush off the excess. Ink up the fairy stamp with Versamark and stamp her onto the card coloured with the mica powders. This will lift off the powder and you will be left with a silhoutte image of the fairy ( ie., the black card beneath the powders.)
Cut this out using the Marianne die and fix to the centre of the base card. Make some roses from pink paper and some from a piece of patterned pink paper and glue to the bottom right of the card, add some leaf stems using some white card and a Tattered Lace die.
Add the trailing leaf stem ( from the Tattered Lace Die Set) to her hand and make and glue a small rose halfway down the stem. Lastly die-cut a butterfly using a Spellbinders die from black card and glue to her hand.
Just a little tip to stop the mica powders being rubbed off, spray the card coloured with the mica powders with a fine cheap hairspray but spray from about a foot away or you may get big blobs of spray on your card, which would spoil the look of your card. I do hope you like this card as I really enjoyed using this beautiful stamp. See you all in a day or so. In the meanwhile enjoy the beautiful sunshine.
Love and rainbows,
Big Hugs Jennifer xx.
