Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,
Well what a change in the weather lol!! one day it's t shirts, next it is woolly jumpers! Hope this cold snap doesn't last too long, I think we are all in need of more sunshine! Tonight I would like to share another card I made for Imagination Craft's latest TV show on Create and Craft which was shown on the 18th April. Here is my step by step, hope you like it.
Make a base card using some maroon card stock. Matt the gold satin card onto the base card, leaving a border of the maroon showing.
Take the patterned lilac linen card and rub the seedless preserves distress ink over it and dry with a heat gun, as it takes longer to dry naturally, because of the smooth coated surface.
Next, lay the bayleaf stencil onto the card and dab the stormy sky distress ink through the design. Remove the stencil and again, dry with a heat gun. Lay the stencil back onto the linen patterned card and move the stencil slightly to one side of the inked image, giving it a shadow effect. Spread the forest green and the gold shine sparkle mediums over the design, using the metal spatula. Remove stencil and leave the image to dry.
Take a piece of white card, smaller than the gold and die-cut a circle from the centre. Glue the now dry lilac linen card to the centre of the gold card. Fix the white square card with the circle aperture centrally over the base card, using sticky foam pads, to give some dimension to the card. Die-cut four corners from maroon card, using the Tattered Lace corner die and glue one in each corner of the white card. Die-cut three flowers from some spare patterned card using the Memory Box die and glue to the edge of the circle. Add a pearl to the centre of each flower.
Stamp two small and one large butterflies from the 'time flies' stamp set, onto a spare piece of patterned card, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Glue them to the card front.
Well the card is now finished. Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog, hope you have enjoyed your visit. Please pop back again. See you all in a few days.
Love and rainbows,
