Hi there Peeps,
What a beautiful day it has been here today. Wall to wall sunshine and gorgeous blue skies! Spent most of the day outside in the garden, tidying up the after the Winter, Still lots to do but the next few days sound like more of the same, weather wise. Well here as promised is one of my MDF shelves I have decorated for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts. Sue will be on Create & Craft TV on the 18th April, I do hope you will be able to tune in. There are some fabulous new products, including the beautiful wall shelves. These come as plain MDF and you can decorate them in any way you like. The designs are gorgeous and I am sure you will just love them. They were designed by Tracey Dutton of Lavinia Stamps especially for Imagination Crafts, they are just so different from other shelves I have seen. They are very easy to assemble too, no need for glue, they just click together.
Paint all the shelf parts with the soft moss MDF paint. Colour with the seedless preserves Distress ink pad. Stamp dots onto the word 'home' using the seedless preserves ink and the dots stamp from the Fuschia decoupage stamp set.
Using the small flowers stamp from the bird of paradise gilding stamp set, stamp the flowers around the bottom of the back plate and on the shelf. using seedless preserves ink pad. Stamp the swirl stamp, from the lilies decoupage stamp set, between the flowers.
Die-cut one of the flowers from the Spellbinders die set and colour it with Imagination Craft's gold mica powder. Glue the flower to the top left of the shelf back, to act as the sun. Add a topaz coloured gem to the centre of the flower.
Using Imagination Craft's patterned card. lilac linen, cut out the toadstool shapes, cutting out the windows too. Lay the 'tweet' stencil flowers onto each toadstool and spread the lavender Sparkle Medium over them. Remove the stencil and leave to dry. You may have to do this three times, each time allowing your flowers to dry, before doing the next.
Stamp the butterfly stamp from the 'Time Flies' stamp set, using a Versamark pad onto a small piece of lavender card and heat emboss with a heat gun and white embossing powder. Glue the butterfly to the top right of the shelf back.
Colour the edges of the toadstools with the seedless preserves distress ink and glue them to the MDF toadstools, using silicone glue to give the toadstools a curved look.
Using the 'tweet' stencil flowers and the lavender Sparkle Medium. spread the sparkle medium over the flowers onto the bottom of the MDF shelf back, just below the toadstools, a total of four times and leave to dry.
Well that's all folks, all that remains to be done, is to fix your shelf onto the back, by just clicking into place. It's as easy as that lol! I do hope I have inspired you to try decorating one of these shelves, they will make a beautiful gift for that special friend.
Please don't forget to tune in to Create & Craft TV on Saturday the 18th April . See you all again soon with another design of wall shelf.
Love and rainbows,
