Starburst flowers.

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Tonight I have a card to share with you all that I made for Sue and Harvey of  Imagination Crafts in September 2014.    For this card I have used one of their lovely decoupage stamp sets.   This one is
called   'Starburst'  and their beautiful Sparkle Medium.

Make a base card from blue card stock.   Die-cut a scalloped oval from the centre front of the card.   Take a piece of acetate, large enough to cover over the scalloped oval aperture and colour with the alcohol inks and a blender tool.

Take some white card and brayer the Sparkle Medium over it and leave it to dry.   When dry, die-cut another scalloped oval from it.   Fix this behind the aperture, so only one edge of the scalloped edge is showing.

Next, fix the acetate behind the scalloped edged card.   Cut out a square the same size as the card front and fix behind the acetate, so as to cover up any rough edges showing inside the card.

Glue the purple gemstones around the scalloped edges.   Take more acetate and colour as before with the alcohol inks.   Stamp 1 large, 3 medium and 2 small flowers from the stamp set, onto the now coloured acetate, using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with white embossing powder.   It is important to use heatproof acetate, if you don't the acetate just shrivels up.

Fussy cut the flowers and 3D using silicone glue.   Use only the centre of one of the small flowers and 3D onto the other small flower.   Glue these to the left side of the oval.

Die-cut 2 leaf stems from white card, using the Tattered Lace die and glue on either end of your flower arrangement.

Lastly, cut 2 triangles from the left-over Sparkle Mediumed card and glue them in the top and bottom right-hand corners.     Well, the card is now finished, hope you like it.   I'll be back  in a couple of days.   In the meantime, happy crafting, just  play, experiment and above all, have fun.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.   See you all again soon

                                                                 Crafty Hugs to you all,

You're in my Thoughts.

Good morning Lovelies,

We had a good start to the week yesterday, it turned out to be a beautiful day, clear blue skies and beautiful sunshine.    Today I have a card I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in  June 2011 to share with you.   I chose to use  brown and peach  for this card, a colour combination I really like.

Make a base card from light brown card stock, then cut a smaller piece of peach card,  slightly smaller than the brown.   Cut a smaller piece of dark brown card and, using the corner rounder punch, round off the top left and bottom right corners of the brown card.     Using the Woodware corner punch, punch the top right and bottom left  corners.

Stamp the flourishes in the top left and bottom right corners of the brown card, using a Versamark pad, then heat emboss with gold embossing powder.    Stamp the sentiment in the top right just below the punched corner, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Stamp the flower oval  with a brown ink pad.   Cut out the inside edge of the oval and lay this on top of the peach card, then draw around the cut edge of the oval.   Cut this oval from the peach card.   Glue a peach ribbon across the front of the card, securing on the reverse.   Matt the brown card onto the peach card, then lay this onto the base card and mark where the oval is on the base card, using a pencil.   Stamp part of the flourish in the oval, using a Versamark pad and again, heat with gold embossing powder.

Matt the peach and dark brown card onto the base card, so the flourishes show through the oval aperture.   Colour the Hibiscus flowers with  a  peach coloured Promarker pen.   Colour the oval border  and  the flower centres with a gold pen.    Stamp the flowers and the oval once more, colour as the previous image, then glue to the original image.

Add a ribbon bow to the right of the oval and glue a  holographic butterfly just above the ribbon, on the right of the card.

Well that is all for now, see you all again soon.   Have a wonderful Tuesday and I hope the sun shines on you all.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

Butterfly Circles.

Good  evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you've all enjoyed your weekend and remembered to put your clocks back one hour last night.   That extra hour in bed was appreciated this morning, not sure I like the darker evenings though lol!!   ah well, can't have it all ways lol !   at least it is nice to have the glow of the  log fire,  all snug and warm and the curtains closed.  No need to feel guilty about not doing outside work !  couldn't see anyway lol !!

Tonight I have a card to share with you which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in March 2012.  I  used their 'Leaf Spray' stencil and some 'Black Stars' Sparkle Medium for this card.

Make a 6"x6" square card, using black card stock.   Matt a square of pink card onto the black,  cut slightly smaller than the black.

Take a  square of white paper, enough to fit on top of the pinks card, leaving a small border of the pink showing.   Take the leaf spray stencil and the paper and put through an embossing machine to emboss it.   Take a smaller piece of white card and punch a 2" circle from it.   Put the circle aside for another project and use the negative.   Punch out a further 3 or 4 circles from paper to use as masks.

Begin by colouring the circle through the punched out hole (the negative)  using any colour of Distress ink you wish.   Remove the negative and cover over the circle you have just coloured,  with one of the punched out masks, then colour another circle, overlapping the first circle.   Continue in this manner until the whole piece of paper is covered with coloured circles.   When dry, gently rub over the leaf stems with the Black Soot Distress ink pad, to give a little depth to the design.

Punch all 4 corners with the  'Rings' corner punch by Martha Stewart.   Add some black card to the backs of the punched corners.   Wrap some pink ribbon across the front of the circles paper, then fix to the base card.

Using the Spellbinder's 'Ironworks'  border die and black card, de-cut the border and glue this below the pink ribbon.   Punch out a scalloped circle from white card and colour it with a blue Distress ink and rub black soot ink around the scalloped edges.

Lay the 'Butterflies & Daisies' stencil over the scalloped circle, placing one of the butterflies in the centre of the circle and spread the Black Stars Sparkle Medium over the butterfly, using the metal spatula and leave to dry.

Spread some black stars Sparkle Medium through the same butterfly on the stencil, onto a piece of acetate.   Remove the stencil and leave to dry.   Cut out and glue the acetate butterfly onto the original image.   Fix the circle on top of the pink ribbon, using sticky foam pads.

Add a pink ribbon bow to the right side of the scalloped circle and 3 pink gems to the bottom left of the circle.    That is  this card completed.   I was really pleased with the results, the negative circle worked quite well I thought.

Have a good week, take good care of yourselves and I will be back again soon with another creation.

                                                                love and rainbows,

                                                              Crafty hugs to you all.

                                                                  Jennifer xx.

O Little Town of Bethlehem.

Hi there everyone,

Well we're nearly at the end of another week !!   hope you've all had a good one.   Tonight I would like to share another  'blast from the past' card which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts in July 2007.   I am pleased to say, this stamp is still available in their bargain basement, Christmas stamps section and has been reduced to only £3.00.   This can be used as a flat stamp or, as I have done, decoupaged it.

Fold an A4 white linen card in half, landscape style.   Take another piece of white card and stamp the image onto it, using  the Adirondak Woodlands ink pad, five times.   Colour using pearlescent pastel colours, cut out  and 3D, using silicone glue.

Matt this onto some gold mirror card and then onto a piece of peach coloured card, which has been stamped all over with the Three Wise Men stamp, using a Versamark pad, (sorry can't remember whose stamp it was, possibly  Artz).   Next, matt this onto a piece of terracotta card, leaving borders showing each time.   Matt this onto another piece of gold mirror card, leaving a tiny border of gold showing.

Add a touch of glitter glue to the centre of the stars

Now go back to the base card and stamp the 'Noel, Peace on Earth'  stamp in the top left and bottom right  corners, using the gold pigment ink pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Glue the decoupaged panel to the centre of the base card, using sticky foam pads to add some dimension to the card.     Add a gold star, cut out using a QuicKutz machine and die, then  glue to the top right of the card.

The card is now finished, hope you like it.   Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog.   Take care of yourselves and I will be back soon.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Another Blast From the Past - Christmas Wreath.

Hi there Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and have had  a good start to the new week.   Tonight I would like to share another card I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  back in October 2009.  This is a very pretty Christmas wreath stamp, which  incidentally,  is  in their bargain basement, in the Imagination Range, Christmas art stamps and has been reduced to £3.00, definitely a bargain lol!   I have covered the wreath with flower soft and  coloured fibres.

Fold a green card in  half to make a five and a half inch square card.   Matt a square of white card onto the green, leaving a small border of green showing.   Next matt a slightly smaller piece of gold mirror card onto the white.   Take a square  of white card big enough to fit on top of the gold, leaving a border of  gold showing.   Punch all four corners with the  X-cut holly punch, then cut this card in half  across the centre.   Put the straight edges at the top and bottom of the  gold card, leaving approximately a quarter of an  inch gap in the centre and glue in place.

Stamp the wreath twice  onto some white card,  using  the forest green Stazon ink pad.    Colour the centre of the first wreath, using the Vivid 'Indian Summer'  ink pad and a piece of cut n' dry foam.   Cut around the outer edge of the first stamped image.     Then cut out the outer and the inner of the second wreath.   Glue red and green flower soft around the wreath.   Fix the second wreath to the first, using sticky foam pads.   Punch out some holly leaves and berries from some gold mirror card and glue around the wreath.

Wind some fibre into a circle and glue to the centre of the wreath.   Stamp the bow from the wreath stamp onto some gold mirror card, cut out and fix to the original image, using silicone glue.

Punch out some green holly leaves and glue around the outside edges of the base card.   Punch out some gold holly leaves and berries and glue on top of the flower soft, in the  odd place.

Stamp ' Merry Christmas' near the bottom of the card, using the forest green Stazon pad.   Glue some gold and green  berries in between the two words

Glue the green corner waste (left over after punching out the holly) and glue in each corner.

That's all from me my friends, see you all again very soon.   Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and if you have left me a comment, 'Thank you' again.

                                                                    Love and rainbows,

                                                             Happy crafting, Hugs   Jennifer xx.

A Blast From The Past, Christmas Scene.

Good evening, Followers, Friends and Visitors,

How are you all, we are fine up here in the hills, just a bit chilly,   quite a cold wind.   We have already had a couple of frosty mornings lol!!    Winter is definitely on its way!     I thought I would share a card I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts   way back in July 2008.   The stamp I have used, is sadly no longer available, which is such a shame, as it is such a pretty design, one of my favourites at that time.   I have incorparated a style stone in my design, something I really enjoy using.   Well, time to get started.

Make a base card by folding an A4 piece of white card in half, portrait style.   Using a Midnight Blue Stazon ink pad, stamp three trees across the centre of the card.   Punch out three snowflakes from the top and bottom of the card, evenly spaced.   Glue the punched out snowflakes in between the already punched out snowflakes on the top and bottom of the card and pop a small blob of Crystal ice glitter glue in the centres of the snowflakes.

Stamp the Christmas scene onto to piece pf spare white card with the midnight blue ink pad.   When dry, colour with the 3 Colorbox Chalk ink pads, Blush rose, French blue and Blue iris.    Matt this onto some navy paper,  then onto some peachy/pink paper, then finally onto more navy paper,   leaving a narrow border showing each time.  Make the last border narrower than the rest.    Glue this panel to the centre of the base card.

Glue four white punched out snowflakes to each corner of the panel.   Glue some narrow peach ribbon above and below the the panel across the card, from left to right.   Add a bow to the centre of the bottom ribbon.

Take the style stone and cover the top surface with white the pigment ink and heat emboss, using white embossing powder.   Stamp part of the large Winter scene stamp onto it using the midnight blue Stazon pad.   Colour the edges of the style stone with the midnight blue ink.

When dry, glue the stone to the original stamped image, aligning up the picture on the stone with the picture on the stamped image.   Add small amounts of ink from the Colorbox chalk ink pads, to match the main image.

Add a little glitter glue and highlight parts of the picture, using a white gel pen.   Lastly, fold a piece of navy A4 paper in half, portrait style, trimmed slightly smaller than the card and fix to the inside of the card as an insert.   When the card is closed, the navy paper should show behind the punched out snowflakes.

That's all from me folks, see you all again soon.   Hope you all have a peaceful, relaxing Sunday.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Noel.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Just dropped by to  post another card.   Tonight's card is a Christmas card, made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts, for  their TV show on Create & Craft in July 2014.   I have used one of their lovely patterned panel cards and the very attractive Stars and ribbons panel stencil.   The background panel card makes putting  a card together, very easy and, they look great.

Make a base card from red card stock.   Matt a smaller piece of peach paper onto the red base card.

Die-cut the snowflake border from some  peach paper,  using the Memory Box snowflake die and glue to thr right - hand side of the base card.    Add small dots of the gold gilt Detail Sparkle to the die-cut.

Take the patterned panel card and lay the stars stencil onto it.   Spread the gold shine over the stars only.  Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.   Replace the stencil over the image and spread the Bright  red  Sparkle Medium over the ribbons on the  stencil.

Remove the stencil and leave the  image to dry, then glue the panel to the left-hand side of the base card.   Add one red organza and one red satin ribbon bow to the top of the design.

Lay the Noel stencil over the bottom right-hand corner and cover the 'NOEL'  with the gold shine Sparkle Medium, adding a small amount of the red and  adding a couple of the stars, using the gold shine Sparkle Medium.   Remove the stencil and leave to dry.    The card is now finished, hope you like it.

Until my next post in a couple of days,  take care of yourselves.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                  Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Crocus shadow flourishes.

Good evening Folks,

Hope you have had a good weekend,  yet another week ahead of us.   Time flies as they say lol!   Tonight I would like to share a card I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts, in March 2014.   I have used  their 'Flourishes' stencil which I love, it makes a beautiful background, a very useful stencil to have in your crafty stash.

Make a white base card.   Take a smaller piece of white card and lay the stencil on top and dab Versamark through the design using a piece of cut n' dry foam.   Remove the stencil and and heat emboss using silver embossing powder.

Place the stencil back on the image and off-set the stencil slightly to the right just a little.   Dab the black soot distress ink through the design, creating a shadow effect.  Remove the stencil and leave the ink to dry.

Rub the black soot distress ink around the edges of the card, using a blending tool or  piece of cut n' dry foam.   Matt this onto the base card, leaving a border of white card showing.

Using the crocus decoupage stamp set, stamp the main image onto white card five times, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder.

Colour using the 'pearly paint palette' a brush and water.   Cut out the image and glue it to the centre of the base card.   Cut out the other images and 3D onto the main image, using silicone glue, slightly moulding the petals to look realistic.

That's the card finished.   These stamp sets are just perfect for decoupage.   Thank you so much for visiting and if you have left me a comment, thank you again,     Take care of yourselves and I will be back soon.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                 Big Hugs   Jennifer xx.

My Friend Hanging Wall Plaque.

Hi there fellow Bloggers, Friends and Visitors,

I take it you are all looking forward to the weekend, I know I am lol!  I aim to be in my craft room as much as I possibly can.    I have been in the garden quite a lot recently, so it is now time for some crafting lol!   craft and music, what more could a crafter wish for !   well maybe a few more stamps and a few dies lol!!!
Tonight I have chosen to share an MDF hanging  wall plaque with you.   This was made in May 2014 for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts.   It was made for a Create & Craft show at that time.

Paint the front and back of the MDF charm kit with the white MDF paint.   Lay the lacy swirls stencil on the front board with the aperture in it and spread some relief paste through the stencil, using the metal spatula.   Remove stencil and leave the image to dry.

When dry, colour with the  satin red, emerald gold, purple lace and gold brocade Silkies, using a piece of cut n' dry foam.

Glue a black, die - cut border down the left side of the  aperture, gluing on the back of the front board.   Glue a ribbon hanger to the back of the board also.   Paint the inside of the back board with white MDF paint, so it is seen through the aperture.     Glue the back board to the front board using Magi-bond glue.

Paint the tags  from the kit with the white MDF paint  and colour with the Silkies around the edges.   Stamp 'cherish' etc.. onto each one, using a black ink pad.

Add gold brads to the holes and glue the tags to the board front.

Punch out the flowers and put them through an embossing machine, along with the Lacy swirls stencil.   Glue to the right hand side of the aperture.    Punch out the cornflower using black card and fix to the flower centre and add a small gold circle to the centre of the cornflower.     That's the plaque finished.   All that remains to be done is to hang it on a wall, or give it to your friend as a gift to say 'thank you for being my friend.'

Have a wonderful weekend my friends and I will catch you all again in a couple of days.   Many thanks for stopping by my blog.

                                                             Love and rainbows,

Happy crafting, love and hugs   Jennifer xx.

'Butterfly Beauties.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

How are you all?  well I hope, if not here's a   (((hug)))  to make you feel better.     The Autumn has definitely  arrived,  as I sat in the lounge this afternoon, the leaves were floating past  the window.  Ah well, there are good things about the Autumn,  the wonderful colours of the trees and berries and fresh bright days.   There have been lots of Red Admiral butterflies in our garden over the last couple of weeks, such bright colours on their wings.   The red squirrels are eating the nuts from the hazel trees and the Great Spotted Woodpecker is helping himself to  the nuts in our bird feeder.      Speaking of butterflies, my card for tonight features butterflies but not Red Admirals lol!

I would like to welcome my newest follower Jean  Elford, many thanks for following my blog, hope you find some inspiration for your creations.

Make a base card from terracotta card stock.   Matt a slightly smaller piece of white card onto the base card.

Take a piece of craft card and lay the 'butterfly flourish' stencil on top and using a piece of cut n' dry foam, dab the rusty hinge distress ink through the design, covering the leaves only.   Cover the butteflies with the stormy sky distress ink.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

When dry, return the stencil to the inked  image and spread the blue sapphire Sparkle Medium over the butterflies only, using the detail metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave to dry.   Lay the stencil back onto the image and rub some bright copper Sparkle medium around the edges of the leaves.

Draw lines around the leaves with a white pen.   Fix this to the base card.   Colour some white card with black Brusho ink  ( the black Brusho ink does not look black, but a mixture of blue and orange when added to water).   When dry, stamp three large butterflies from the 'Time Flies' stamp set onto it, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder.   Cut out the butterflies and glue to the card front.

Hope you like it.   Many thanks for stopping by my blog, I do hope you have enjoyed your visit.  I will be back in a couple of days, I hope you will too.

                                                                   Love and rainbows,

                                                                     Hugs   Jennifer xx.
