'Iridescent Irises.'

 Good afternoon Lovelies,

I do hope you are all well.    Today I have another card to share with you,  which I have made using an Imagination Craft's decoupage stamp from 2012.   I  have used their pearly paint palette to colour the image, which gives the image a beautiful sheen, particularly when the light shines on it.  The base card is made from some deep lavender card and is 7"x7"  in size.

Matt and layer a six and a quarter inch square of orange card onto the deep lavender base card, leaving a border of the lavender showing.

Next, cut a 6" square from some textured white card.   Using the decoupage Irises stamp set, stamp the irises in the centre of the white square, using a Versamark embossing pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder, using a craft heat gun.

Paint the image with the pearly paints from the palette, using a brush and some water.

The texture of the card shows through the paint giving a nice effect.    Stamp the scroll design from the stamp set using a Versafine black ink pad, around the square, 4 times.

Stamp   'It's your birthday' in the top left of the white card and 'Enjoy....'   in the bottom  right using the black ink pad.

Lastly, matt and layer the stamped white card onto the slightly larger piece of orange card  already glued to the deep lavender  base card.    The card is now finished except for the addition of an insert of your choice.   Below are a few more photographs although the beautiful sheen of the paints do not show up very well in my photo.

That's all for now my friends, hope you like it.   Take good care of yourselves and I will be back soon with another card.   Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you have  enjoyed your visit.

                                                                  Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.

'Friends Are Always There.'

Good afternoon Lovelies, how are you all?  well I hope, if not here's a big  (((hug)))  from me.   Hope you feel better soon.

Today I thought I would share a card I have just made, not for anyone in particular, just because I had a little spare time and because I got the urge to make one lol !   Hope you like it.

This is a fairly simple, quick card to make if you are short of time.   I saw this  stamp some years ago and thought, what a lovely sentiment so,  I just had to buy it.!   It is a clear stamp by Dovecraft.   The 'Grand Gothic Iron Work' die was given to me by a good friend and is by Poppystamps.Inc. USA and is quite a few years old now too.    The corner die is a Crafter's Companion die - 'Lace Corner 2' and is a 2 piece die set and last of all, the flower die is one of my favourite flower dies and has been used many times by me and is by Memory Box, again is quite old now.   Well, less chat from me, here is how I made this card.

Matt and layer a black square onto a 7"x7" ready folded white card, leaving a small border of the white base card showing.

Cut a smaller  square of white card and matt this onto the black card again, leaving a little of the black card showing this time.    Using a black Versamark ink pad, stamp the sentiment to the right of the white square, as below.

Using some spare white card, die-cut 4 corners, using the inner piece of this  2 piece lace corner die set.

Glue one in each corner of the white square.

Die-cut the 'Grand Gothic Ironwork' from black card  and glue it to the left of the 'Friend's' stamped sentiment.

Die-cut the flowers from black card, cutting 3 large, 3 medium and 3 small flowers, plus 3 flower centers, also  3 leaf stems.

Paint the flowers with pink and red pearly paints, the leaf stems with green and the stamen with gold.   Layer up the flowers, (1 large, 1 medium & 1 small and then the stamen using glue

Arrange the flowers and leaf stems to the bottom left of the ironwork image and when you are happy the way it looks, glue them in position.

The card is now finished.   Below are a few more close ups of the card taken at different angles.   I do hope you like it.

I would just like to say 'thank you' for visiting my blog and I hope  you enjoyed your visit.

Many thanks,  I'll catch you all again quite soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs Jennifer xx.
