'Let it Snow.'

Good evening Lovelies, hoping you have had a lovely Saturday, whatever you have been doing.   No sunshine here today but mustn't complain as it has been dry, although a little damp mist in the air.

Thank you all for your visits to my blog and those who have left me a lovely comment, very much appreciated.   I do hope you have found some inspiration for your card making.

Tonight I have a Christmas card to share with you which I made using an older Imagination Craft stencil I have in my craft stash, alongside  some dies which were given to me by a very good friend, a  Poinsettia and leaf stems.   Not sure who they were made by,  as they were in a clear poly bag when given to me.    The snowman, snow dots, label and sentiment stamps were given free with a craft magazine some time ago,   I used T.H. Distress inks to colour the background   and the images.      Hope  you like it.

Make a card five and three quarter inches square from some white card.

Lay the stencil onto the front face of the card securing the stencil to your glass work mat using masking tape to stop it moving around.   Using the T.H. blending tool and the peeled paint, mowed lawn, fired brick, festive berries, Victorian velvet and wild honey distress inks, gently rub them through the design on the stencil.   Add a little colour to the inside edge of the oval., leaving  some white card showing in the centre.   Remove the tape and the stencil.

Using a black Versafine ink pad, stamp 'Happy Christmas' in the oval shape. on the card front.

Using the black ink pad, stamp a few groups of snow dots around the card.

Die-cut the Poinsettia and leaf stems from some white card and colour these with the distress inks, water and a paintbrush.     3D the poinsettia pieces using sticky foam pads or silicone glue and  fix them to the card front.

Using the black ink pad, stamp two little snowmen onto some spare white card.   Cut them out and colour their hats and scarves with distress inks.

Fix one snowman to the top right hand and the other to the left hand sides of the base card.   Using the black ink pad again, stamp the label then stamp 'Let it snow' onto the label and cut it out.   Attach this to the top of the base card with sticky foam pads.   Glue two small gems to each side of the label and the larger gem to the centre of the Poinsettia and the card is finished.

Below is a photo of the card, taken at an angle which shows the dimension of the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog,  I hope you have enjoyed your visit.    Take care of yourselves, stay safe and well.   I will be back again soon with another card to share with you.
