'Happiness Is.....A New Home.'

Hi there Fellow bloggers,  Friends and Visitors,

Thank you all for your comments and visits to my last blog.   I do so appreciate each and every one.   Tonight  I have a card to share with you which I made for a family member when they moved house.   I used  an A4 set of stamps plus a fence die, which was given free with a craft magazine.   So sorry but I cannot remember which one...what am I like lol!   I do know it was fairly recent.

Make a square base card from white linen effect card.   Cut out a square of white card, smaller than the base card and colour with the  mowed lawn, shabby shutters, stormy sky and tumbled glass distress inks, using a blending tool or a piece of cut 'n' dry foam, or similar.

Stamp the grass along the horizon line, using the mowed lawn D.I.    Using a black inkpad, stamp the following onto some spare white card - 2 sheep,  2 backward facing rabbits,  1 front facing rabbit,  the wheelbarrow,  plant pot, watering can, plant labels and vegetables.

Colour these with Promarker pens and cut them out.   Cut a slit in the top of the watering can and slide the front facing rabbit in the slot.   Fix a carrot in the paws of the rabbit.

Stamp 2 more bunny tails onto white card using black ink.   Cut out and glue to the 2 backward facing rabbits, using silicone glue.

Using a black inkpad, stamp the greetings and the verse on the top of the card.

Glue all the items to the card front, fixing the vegetables and the plant label into the top of the wheelbarrow.

Die-cut a picket fence from white linen card, using the free die.   Glue to the left-hand side, leaving one sheep just behind the fence.

Die-cut a tiny butterfy and paint with the white/gold Starlight paint, then glue in the blue sky.

Matt and layer this card onto the base card and the card is finished.   That's all from me for the time being,  thanks again for stopping by my blog, I do hope you enjoy your visit.   See you all again soon.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                               Hugs    Jennifer xx.

'Vintage Butterflies' card.

Good evening Lovelies,

I do hope you all enjoyed your Easter Bank Holiday.    Wasn't the weather amazing?    Hubby and I spent some time in our fruit and veggie plot.   We tidied up our raised strawberry beds.   Weeded and removed any dead leaves.   Hopefully we will have many lush strawberries in the coming months, as we have 35 plants in that border and more in another, which has yet to be tidied up.   Dreaming of thoses dishes of lush strawberries and cream lol!

Thank you all for your comments and visits to my last blog, each and everyone very much appreciated.   Tonight I have a card I made in January this year.   I have used one of Imagination Craft's gorgeous rice papers,  Starlight paints and their  'Butterfly Border' stencil.   The large butterfly was stamped using a Chocolate Baroque stamp.

Make a square white base card  colour the card front with the  the ripe persimmon and honey coloured distress inks and a blending tool.

Lay the stencil onto the card front and using a piece of cut ' n' dry foam, add the sepia distress ink through the design.   Remove the stencil and leave to dry for a little while.

Cut out the square with the white butterfly on it, from the rice paper .   Using the decoupage glue, glue this to a piece of white card.

Matt and layer this onto a slightly larger square of black card, then glue to the centre of the base card.

Stamp the butterfly onto a piece of white card using a black ink pad and colour with the distress inks.  Add a touch of watered down white/gold Starlight paint to the wings and body.   Shape the wings a little then glue to the bottom right corner.

The card is now finished, a really quick and easy card to make.    That's all from me for the moment.  Please pop back again soon.   Enjoy the rest of your week.

                                                              Love and rainbows,

                                                              Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Friends Are Like Stars.

Hi there Lovelies,

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.   The weather here has been really sunny but there has been a very chilly wind.   Lovely to see the sunshine and hear the birds singing, roll on the Summer lol!

Thank you for your lovely comments and visits to my last blog post, they mean a lot and I love to see your blog posts too.

Tonight I have a card to share with you, which I made in December 2018.   I have used Imagination Craft's Mixed Media Inks,  Starlight paints and the 'stars'  small stencil.   Hope you like this one, I have to say I was quietly pleased with the end result.  The verse stamp is a Dovecraft stamp, such
a lovely sentiment I think.

Make a square base card from white card stock.   Matt and layer a  smaller square of green card onto the base card.   Take a smaller square of white card.   Spray the inks onto a work mat and spritz with water.    Lay the square of white card down onto the inks and rub over the card with your hand, then lift up.   If you're not happy with the results, lay it back down onto the inks.   (If you do this too often, you can spoil the results, as the colours begin to turn a 'muddy' colour).

It is more effective if you leave some white space.   Leave this to dry or you can dry with a heat gun.

Using a black ink pad,, stamp the sentiment to the right-hand side of the coloured card.

Lay the small star stencil onto onto the card and stipple the three Starlight colours - Jade, Rich Gold and Dried Rose, through the stencil, using a stencil brush, mainly around the sentiment.

Colour a piece of white card with the dried rose, another with gold  and  another with the Jade and when dry, die-cut  one large and one small from the pink,  one small star from the jade and one from the gold.

Glue these to the left hand side of the card using silicone glue, to lift them up slightly.

Glue a pink ribbon bow to the bottom right corner, then glue this to the base card and the card is finished.

Well that's it for the moment my Lovelies, catch you all again very soon.   Have a good week and I'll keep my fingers crossed for some good weather.   Take good care of yourselves until my next post.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs    Jennifer xx.

Pitter Patter, April Showers.

Hi there Friends, Followers and Visitors,

I do hope you have all enjoyed your weekend and are ready for the  week ahead.   Where are these weeks disappearing too lol ?   Time seems to be going faster each year!   Thank you for your lovely comments on my last blog post, I do love to hear from you and I appreciate each and every comment and visit.   Tonight I have a card to share with you which I made in February 2019.   For this card I have used a wooden stamp which I found whilst  tidying  and sorting my stamps.   Such a sweet little image and is a stamp by Funstamps, not sure if it is still available.   I have also used a stencil from Imagination Crafts, called 'leafy spray,'  a very useful stencil.

Make a square base card from white cardstock.   Lay the leafy spray border stencil onto the card front and dab the two green distress inks through the design.

Stamp the mouse image onto some spare white card.   Colour with  distress inks, water and a paintbrush.   Stamp again, colour and then fussy cut the flower and the sleeve of the jumper from the second image.

3D the flower and sleeve onto the original image, using silicone glue.   Matt and layer the mouse image onto a slightly larger piece of blue card, then glue this to the centre of the base card.

Using a black ink pad, stamp 'Happy Birthday'  centrally to the top of the card and 'Hugs & Kisses' to the bottom of the card.

Well, this card is finished, quite a quick card to make.   Hope you like it.   Cheerio for now,  I'll be back soon with another card.   Have a good week and look after yourselves.

                                                                 Hugs   Jennifer xx.
