'New Home.'

Hi there Lovelies, hope everyone is well and looking forward to some beautiful sunny days ahead.   The Summer is not very far away.   This time,  (as promised on my last blog,) I am back with a 'New Home' card, which I made for a friend who has just moved house and as she has  received the card,  I can now share it with you all.

The main stamp (the birdhouse, was one of a set of stamps by Crafter's Companion (I think) and was given free with Quick Cards Magazine, back in  2015).   I just love this stamp, so sweet and I thought  it would make a lovely 'New Home' card.    O.k. enough chit chat,  let's get started lol.

Die-cut a white square approximately three and three quarter inches square.which has a perforated edge around it,  then  die-cut a slightly larger square with a scalloped edge from dark blue paper  (both these dies were given free with 'Die-Cutting Essentials' Magazine, Issue 29), not sure of the date but I think it might be a few years ago ?

Stamp the birdhouse image onto the centre of the white square using a black ink pad.   Stamp this image a further 3 more times onto some spare white card.   Colour the images with the Promarker alcohol pens and cut out the images except for the one on the white die-cut square.

Below are the alcohol pens I used to colour the images.

3D the cut out images of the birdhouse onto the original stamped image on the white square.using silicone glue or sticky foam pads.

Matt and layer the white square onto the blue die-cut scalloped edge square, then matt and layer this onto a slightly larger square of pink pearlised card.   Fix this onto the centre of a 7" x 7" ready folded white card.

From some gold mirror card die-cut the letters' New Home'  I used some Sizzix letter dies I have had for about 20 years and still going strong lol!   Glue the word 'New' to the centre top and 'Home' to the centre bottom,

Stamp the blossom stamp 4 times onto some spare white card, using a black ink pad.   Colour with the alcohol pens and cut out.   Glue one at each corner of the central square.

All that remains to be done is to make an insert for the card.   As my friend's favourite colour is pink, I chose pink paper for the insert.   The stamped image, the verse and the sentiment I stamped with a Versamark embossing pad and heat embossed them,  using a heat gun and gold embossing powder.

I used a small corner punch on all 4 corners of the insert.     Well that's all for now Lovelies.   I will be back soon.    Take care of yourselves until my next blog.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                  Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Get Well Soon Orchids.

Hi there Lovelies,  hoping this post finds you all fit and well.   Thank you for your visits and  comments on my last post ,  I do hope you enjoyed your visit.    This afternoon,  I have a card to share with you, which I made recently using an Imagination Craft's stamp set from 2011.   I thought it would be nice to use some of my old stamp sets for a change, some of you may well have this stamp in your craft stash.

Cut a five and a half inch square from ivory coloured card.   Stamp the border design down the left-hand side, the Orchid circle in the centre, the scroll in the top left and the sentiments, using a lavender pigment ink pad.   When the ink is dry, colour the orchids with colouring pencils.

Stamp the Orchid circle twice more onto some spare ivory card, colour with the pencils and cut them out.

3D the cut out  Orchid images onto the original stamped image, using silicone glue or sticky foam pads.    Add some green liquid drops around the inside of the circles and some slightly larger drops down the centre of the stamped border.

Add 3  lavender gemstones to the top right and three gems to the bottom left.   Fix this completed square onto a 7" x 7" deep lavender ready folded card and the card is finished.

Many thanks for stopping by my blog, most appreciated.   Hope you have enjoyed your visit and if you are also a crafter......Happy Crafting.   Take good care of yourselves and I will be back again soon with a 'New Home' card I made for a friend.

                                                             Love and rainbows,

                                                             Hugs   Jennifer xxx.
