Hi there Lovelies, Hoping you are having a good weekend. Today I thought I would share a card I made a few weeks ago but didn't manage to put it on my blog then as the garden planters, vegatables etc., needed attention, whilst the weather was good. We have not had any rain for quite some time now, other than a few drops....not enough to wet the ground at all ! anyway I'm sure that will change very soon lol! My card was made using an Imagination Craft's stencil called 'Julia, Sparkle Medium, Black metallic and silver paint and stamps which I have had in my craft stash for many years. The corner die was Die'sire ' Lace Corner' by Crafter's Companion from some years ago.
Cut a piece of black card six and three quarter inches by four and a half inches and using the corner die, die-cut all 4 corners. Keep the die-cuts and paint them with the silver metallic paint. (This corner die has two parts to it, for this I used only the inner section of the whole die ).
I used the black negative (after die-cutting the corners) to glue across the front of a 7"x7" pink pearlised ready folded card, leaving a larger piece of the pink card showing at the bottom.
Lay the 'Julia' Art Deco stencil onto some white card, using some masking tape, tape it to your glass work matt to stop it moving. Mask off the dress and hat. Using a stencil brush, stipple the black metallic paint over the remaining design. Remove the stencil and wash and dry it.
When the paint is dry, remove the masking tape which covers the hat and dress. Lay the stencil back in position on the painted card. Spread the silver Sparkle Medium over the hat and dress using a metal spatula. Carefully remove the outer masking tape and the stencil and leave to dry.
Trim around the image leaving a white line around it.
Using a silver embossing pad, stamp the sentiments onto the black panel on the base card and then heat emboss with silver embossing powder. Glue the four silver die-cuts into each corner of the black panel, where they were originally die-cut from.
Fix Julia to the card front using sticky foam pads..
Glue three small pearls to the top left of the pink card and three to the bottom right. Below are a couple of extra close up photos, unfortunately the silver sparkle and the sheen on the paint, does not show up very well on these but when the light shines on it, it really sparkles... I find it.difficult to capture this effect on photos.
Well that's it Lovelies, hope you all have a good week. Take good care of yourselves and 'Happy Crafting' if you are a crafter. - if not, why not give card making a go lol! it is a very satisfying craft to do and we all need greetings cards for our relatives and friends. Catch you all soon in a week or so.
Thanks ever so much for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoyed your visit.
Love and rainbows,
Hugs Jennifer xx.
