My Imagination Craft's Challenge Blog, Mid Month Inspiration Creation -Bird of Paradise with Love

Good morning fellow Bloggers, Friends and Visitors,

An early post from me today.   Hope everyone is well and managing to keep safe and warm.   We  had snow here yesterday.   Had to go to the dentist for a check up yesterday  lunch time and joy of joys, no treatment needed other than a scale and polish,  pleased with that.   Arrived home to dreadful weather, very windy and snow, blowing across the fields in sheets !!   Wind  settled down in the evening,  thank goodness.   Let's hope this is the end of the storms !

Today I would like to show you the card I have made for the Imagination Craft's Challenge Blog  mid month inspiration.   The theme this month is 'Love is in the air.'    I hope you join the challenge, we would love to see your creations.   Don't forget, if you enter using Imagination Craft's products you could win a £40 gift voucher to spend at Imagination Crafts.   So then, here is my mid month inspiration project :-

Make a base card from black card.   Cut a piece of tan paper slightly smaller than the black card and stamp the flowers from the stamp set, around all four edges using a black ink pad.    Matt this onto the black card.   Using the square die and a die-cutting machine, cut out and emboss the square.   Put the square die-cut to one side for another project and use the negative.   Straighten up the outside edges and put to one side for the moment.

Cut a piece of tan paper the same size as the black frame and lay the stencil on top.   Colour the design with distress inks.   Add some gold and red sparkle medium to the design and remove the stencil.

When dry, fix to the centre of the base card and fix the black frame on top using sticky foam pads to add dimension to the card.   Die-cut the corners from gold card and glue one to each corner of the frame.

Stamp the bird onto some black shiny card with a Versamark pad and heat emboss using clear embossing powder.   Cut out the bird and punch out and stamp the flower, then glue to the card front.

Glue a red bow behind the flower.   Add a small amount of the red sparkle medium to the centre of the flower along with a round, red gemstone.

Lastly, glue a red gemstone heart to the right-hand edge of the black frame.   Well that's it finished, I do hope you like it.    I do hope you decide to give the challenge a go.   Thanks for popping by and for more inspiration just pop over to the Imagination Crafts Challeng Blog.     The  other design team members have also been very busy and have created some beautiful projects which will be shown on the   Imagination Craft's Blog.    Remember 'you have to be in it to win it' lol.   Good luck if you enter.   See you again soon.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                               Big Hugs   Jennifer xx
