Pretty as a Peacock

Good afternoon Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Thank you all so much for stopping by and visiting my blog,   I do appreciate your lovely comments and hearing what you think of my creations.   I hope you  feel inspired to get out your crafting goodies and make some cards.   Today's card  is made using the beautiful peacock stencil  which can be purchased from Imagination Crafts   and the now famous sparkle medium, which can also be purchased from  the same website.   This card was made a little while ago and was to be shown on Create and Craft TV show but I'm not sure it was shown as the show was a sell out  (which was brilliant)  and  it finished a quarter of an hour early which meant it did not get an airing.    So here it is now.     Ok, off we go, quite an easy card to make.

Make a base card from white card.   Matt a smaller piece of navy card on top of the white.   Using a die-cutting machine, die -cut the panel from white card and glue to the centre of the navy card.

Take the bubble lilac card and punch each corner using the Woodware corner punch.   Glue a piece of cerise coloured paper behind the top right and bottom left corner flowers.

Lay the stencil on top of the lilac card.   Mix together the three sparkle mediums and spread over the stencil design.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.   When dry, cut out a panel down the centre of the lilac card.   Fix this onto the navy paper ensuring the white mesh is in the cut out panel.   Sparkle Medium is brilliant because if you have a few colours in your stash, you can create your own colours by mixing them together.

Punch out five flowers from cerise paper and roll the petals and glue the flowers in layers, alternating the petals.   Spread some Old Rose Sparkle Medium over the edges of the petals.    Make a small flower for the centre of the large flower and glue in place.

Glue the flower to the bottom left of the base card.   Well there we are, card finished,   hope you like it.   Until next time, which will be in a day or so, when I will be showing  you my mid inspiration piece for the
Imagination Craft's Challenge Blog,    stay safe and warm during this dreadful period of bad weather we are having.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                  Hugs   Jennifer xx
