Butterfly Frenzy

Good Monday evening All,

Well here we are again at the beginning of yet another week lol !  One week nearer to the Spring!   The weather here today has been absolutely glorious, warm, blue skies and lots of lovely sunshine.   It is amazing what a little sunshine can do for your mood lol !     Firstly I'd like to welcome my newest followers, Bernie Simmons, Hilary Depledge and Jane, thank you so much for following my blog.   I do hope you enjoy your visits, and to my exsting followers, thank you for your all your visits and lovely comments, I do appreciate you all.  I have spent a little time in the garden tidying up my pot plants outside the front of the house.   All the little crocuses were wide open in the sunlight,  looking very pretty.   Managed to fit in some crafting too.   I am making some cards for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft  for their next show on Create and Craft which I cannot show you yet,  I may give you a sneaky peak nearer the time of the next show.   Well, onto   today's  card which I made for Imagination Crafts  in May of 2011 I do hope you like it.    I used  Imagination mica powders and their lovely frilly butterfly stencil.  Let's begin shall we?

Make a base card from white card stock and onto this matt a smaller piece of purple card.   Next take a piece of white card, smaller than the purple and trim with a trimmer and the victorian blade.   Matt this onto the purple card.   Cut a piece of light green card and place the stencil on top.   Mix the white stencil paste with some Imagination Craft's Bluebell stencil paint and spread across the stencil.   Remove stencil and whilst the stencil  paste is still wet, sprinkle some light blue glitter over it, then leave to dry.

Wrap a piece of ribbon across the card from top to bottom on a slight angle and then fix this card to the base card,    Make a flower from different shades of purple, lilac and blue paper and glue the flower to the top left of the card.

Using some green card and the stencil, put through an embossing machine.   Remove stencil and cut out the large butterfly.    Go over the raised areas with an embossing pen and then brush over with mica powder.

Lay the butterfly on a piece of purple card and draw around the outside  of the butterfly, cutting slightly larger than the butterfly.   Matt the green butterfly onto the purple using sticky foam pads and fix to the base card, again with sticky foam pads.

Make another flower in the same way as for the main flower but this time make it much smaller and fix to the butterfly's body along with a small ribbon bow.   Lastly add some purple rhinestones to the background and add six tiny flowers to the butterfly's wings.

Well that's it finished.   Have a great week everyone and I hope this fabulous weather continues and you all get some of the lovely sunshine.   Take good care of yourselves until my next post in a few days time.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                                       Big Hugs,

                                                                      Jennifer xx
