Summer Blossom Blues.

Hello Lovelies,

Hope you are all well and having a good day.   I thought I would do an early post today.   First I would like to say a big welcome to my newest blog follower, Debbie Fisher, hope you enjoy your visits to my blog.    The day started off really cold and damp but by lunch time the sun  came out.    Lovely to see the sunshine but it reminded me that my windows need a clean.   I have planters on my windowsills and our red squirrels are always burying nuts in them and by doing so, they scatter small particles of soil all over my windows lol !!   I don't mind too much as it is lovely to watch then at such close proximity.

Well onto today's card which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's  in December 2011 and uses the summer blossom background stencil, Magi-Bond Glue and the Sentiments 'Thinking of You' stamp set.
This is a very quick card to make if you do not have much time to spare.   Let's get started shall we?

Cut a base card from some navy card stock and matt  a slightly smaller piece of light blue card onto the navy, leaving a narrow border of navy showing.    Take a piece of white card slightly smaller than the blue and place the stencil on top and using the distress inks, dusty concord and broken china, colour through the design using some cut n' dry foam.   Next go over the colours with some Versamark Ink.   Remove the stencil and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

Fold the gold and spotted ribbon around the panel securing the ribbon on the reverse, then fix this panel to the base card.   Using the tag die and a die-cutting machine, cut out and emboss the tag.   Colour the tag with the distress inks.

Stamp 'Thinking of you' onto the tag first using the blue distress ink, then with the black inkpad, moving the stamp slightly to the right of the first image.   Fix the tag to the base card using Magi-Bond Glue and sticky foam pads.

Using the Marianne die, cut out and emboss four shapes (two small and two large).   Glue these to the base card.   Add  a ribbon bow to the bottom right coner and glue on the rhinstones.

There we are, voila! one finished card.    Hope you like it.    Thank you all for your visits and lovely comments, I read every one and I really appreciate them.   Until ny next post in a few days time, take good care of yourselves.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                              Big Hugs   Jennifer xx
