Sunset Snowdrops

Hello Lovelies,

Well another lovely day,   wow!  three days in a row,  feels like Spring is in the air but I'm sure it won't last much longer before the wet stuff arrives again, ah well mustn't grumble.

Been to the hairdressers today and had my hair cut, I feel like a new woman lol !  I just hate it when it flops in my face, especially when I'm crafting lol.   Speaking of crafting, here is today's card which I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts   in September 2010 and uses their snowdrops  stamp which unfortunately is no longer available but you could use another snowdrop stamp in place of this one or indeed any other flower stamp.   It is coloured using Imagination Craft's  Inkadinks.   There are lots of lovely colours to choose from and they seem to last for ever !

Make a base card from black card stock.   Take a piece of cream card and punch all four corners using the Woodware corner punch,  glue the negative punched pieces to the corners of the black card.   Fix the cream card to the black base card.

Take a piece of cream card approximately four inches by four and three quarter inches and put a wash of the inkadinks over the card and create some 'hill' shapes on the bottom half of the card... When dry, stamp the snowdrops on the top of the painted card, using the Royal Purple Stazon pad.

Stamp the snowdrops a further three times onto some spare cream card.   Colour them with the paints from the Pearly Paint Palette which can be purchased here.   Cut out the snowdrops and 3D them onto the original stamped image, using silicone glue.

Punch out twelve small black flowers and put aside for the moment.   Matt the snowdrop image onto a piece of black card, leaving a tiny border of black showing.   Fix this to the centre of the cream card using double sided sticky tape.   Next glue the small black flowers around the snowdrop image, three on each corner.

Finally, add some coffee ice glitter glue to each flower centre and to the punched out corner flowers.   Add  a small amount of the glitter glue to the snowdrops.     That's it my friends, we're finished.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such lovely comments, they really mean a great deal to me.   I do answer every one.      See you all on Saturday with my mid month inspiration card for the Imagination Craft's Challenge Blog.   Would love you to join in.   You could win a £40 voucher to spend  at Imagination Craft's, all those lovely craft goodies to choose from !!    See you all on Saturday, I will be posting my card at 8am in the morning.    Take good care of yourselves until then.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                                 Hugs   Jennifer xx.

  1. Hiya Jennifer - I adore your card tonight - the back drop of the mountains is so inspirational - love it to pieces - the snowdrops are gorgeous. I'm not a fan of a haircut - but glad you enjoyed yours - it feels like a cost in both time and money to me - but I do look a bit like a scarecrow most of the time - lol!!!!

    1. Hi Rachel, I don't believe you look like a scarecrow lol !! you look just fine to me!! I used to have long hair and wore it up with a comb in it but didn't suit it as I got older lol, so I keep it cut short, less bother too, washed and dried in a matter of 10 minutes ! Thank you for your lovely comment, you are very kind, such a loyal follower, I appreciate that. Enjoy the rest of your week.
