Sweet Lilies

Good afternoon Followers, Friends and Visitors,
Well here we are again, another weekend.   Where does the time go lol!   As I have done all my housework and lunch is over, I thought I would write up my post this afternoon whilst I have a little peace and quiet !   The weather is so dull in our neck of the woods today.   I don't think the temperature is all that low but the wind chill factor is making it feel really cold !   Having just said that, it is now snowing lol !!

Well onto today's card.   This was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts   in June of 2012 and uses  their Summer Decoupage Stamp Range - Lily , Poinsettia Stencil and  the Nature Set of Mica Powders,  all of which can be purchased from here.     I forgot to mention my most favourite Imagination Craft's product - Antique Bronze Sparkle Medium, how could I forget that lol !!!   Ok. let's make a start shall we?

Make a base card from brown card stock and onto this matt some light blue card, leaving a border of brown showing.   Next take a piece of medium blue card and using the corner rounder punch, round off all four corners, then matt onto the light blue card.   Take the light orange coloured card and lay the stencil over it and spread the antique bronze sparkle medium over it, using a spatula.   Remove stencil and leave the image to dry.   Wash the stencil as soon as you can or it will be difficult to clean it once the sparkle medium has dried on.

When the image is dry, trim to fit the medium blue card, leaving a narrow border of the blue showing.   Round off all four corners with the corner punch.

Using the tag die, cut out and emboss the tag from blue card.  stamp 'Well Done' using a Versamark Pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Thread some gold ribbon through the tag and fix the ribbon across the bottom of the card, securing on the reverse.   Matt this onto the base card.

Using some pale orange card, stamp the lilies three times using Versamark and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Paint the images with Mica powders and water and when dry, cut out and 3D the lilies, keeping the scroll border on one of the images only.   Next matt the scroll onto some medium blue card, then onto a smaller piece of light blue card and lastly onto a smaller piece of brown card., then glue this to the left of centre on the base card..

Well that's it folks, hope you like it.   Since I began writing this post, we now have blue skies and bright sunshine lol!    from one extreme to the other in a matter of 10 minutes lol !! what is going on with the weather?     Below is one more picture, a close up of the lilies.

Once again, many thanks for your visits and comments, I love to hear what you think.   Take care until
my next post in a few days time.

                                                                Love and rainbows,

                                                               Big Hugs    Jennifer xx
