Gorgeous Geisha

Hi there  my lovely Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you are all having a good weekend despite the rain and thunder storms.  We have a very little rain and no thunder or lightening - yet lol!   I had a busy week last week, our Grandson's last week of the school term.    Teddy Bears picnic and sports day to attend to mention a couple, which I thoroughly enjoyed.   Lovely to see the children racing around, having lots of fun, using all that energy, wish I had just a little of their energy lol!!

The card I would like to share with you tonight was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  way back in May 2009 and uses their Inkadinks for colouring the stamped image.     Seems so long ago lol!   OK off we go then.

First of all, fold an A4 piece of white linen card in half, portrait style.   Glue the Papermania floral paper to the front.   Glue a narrow strip of the lizard paper next to the edge of the floral paper.   Glue a strip of sequin waste approx. 3" x 1 1/4" to the white panel down the right hand side of the card.   Do not glue it down flat but leave it so it is slightly curved.

Cut a small piece of white card and stamp the Lavinia Japanese text stamp in silver and heat emboss with silver embossing powder.   Fix this to a small piece of purple fine mesh with sticky foam pads, leaving a border of the mesh showing..   Glue this to the top of the base card, on the floral paper.

Stamp the Hobbyart Geisha stamp twice onto some spare white card using the royal purple Stazon pad.   Colour her with the Inkadinks.   For the lilac kimono, I used a mixture of Cranberry Sorbet and Lilac Heaven, watered down.   For the rest of the kimono I mixed Bluebell, Beany Green and Blueberry Ice, again watered down.   For her skin I used a well watered down Cranberry Sorbet.   I then used a silver gel pen for the flowers on her kimono and the flowers in her hair.   Cut her out and 3D her.   Fix her to the left hand side of the card.

Take the style stone and cover with the silver pigment  pad and cover with the Imagination Craft's purple Magi Boss  and heat using a heat gun.   Repeat this once more.   When cool , stamp the head of the Geisha onto the stone using the Teal Stazon pad.   Add some Royal Purple Stazon to the flowers in her hair, using a cut n' dry pen nib.   Add some small amounts of the silver marker for highlights in her hair.

Colour the edges of the stone with the Royal Purple Stazon pad and glue the stone on top of the sequin waste.

Well that's it finished.   I do hope you like it.   Enjoy your weekend and take good care of yourselves until my next blog.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                   Hugs   Jennifer xx.
