Little Donkey Christmas Plaque

Good Monday evening Peeps,

Hope you've all had a good day,  I have had quite an easy day today, still nursing a painful knee but I think it feels as though it's on the mend now, thank goodness.   I've managed to get some samples made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Craft's,  for their next Create and Craft show later this month.   I've been experimenting with something, which I cannot tell you about yet but I will put some sneaky peeks on here and on my fb page nearer the time of the show.  I'm quite pleased with the outcome and I hope you will like what I have done.   Right, onto tonight's project.  This is made using the Imagination Craft's MDF charm set-Christmas tree,  some sparkle medium and the Christmas donkey decoupage stamp set.  Let's get started.

We will begin by painting the front and the back of the board, using the jet MDF paint and leave it to dry.    We will decorate the front of the board first.   Lay the Winter Wonderland stencil on top of the board and spread the silver gilt sparkle medium over the stencil using a spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

In the meanwhile, stamp the beautiful donkey image onto white card using black ink, five times.   Colour the images with Promarker pens.   Cut out and 3D  using silicone glue, then glue this to the centre of MDF board.

Cover the tree and the star charms with the silver gilt sparkle medium and leave to dry.   Run a silver Promarker pen around the edges of the board.

Glue the sparkle medium tree to the right of the donkey and the star to the top left of the donkey.   Glue a green ribbon bow to the top left of the board and using the Cropodile, punch two holes in the centre top of the board and fix a green ribbon hanger.   That's the front finished, now for the back of the board.

Using the  fleur de lis stencil, lay it on the back of the board and spread the silver gilt sparkle medium over it as before, using a spatula.   Using the leaf stem, Love, Joy and Peace stamps from the set, stamp them around the corners of the diamond shape, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with silver embossing powder.

Stamp the dove onto a piece of acetate with a  black Stazon pad.   When ink is dry, turn over the acetate and cover the back with the white shimmer sparkle medium and leave to dry.   When dry, cut out the dove and glue to the centre of the diamond.

Well that's this Christmas plaque finished.  I do hope you like it.   Take care until my next post,   stay safe and above all, be happy.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                         Big crafty hugs   Jennifer xx.
