Beautiful Butterflies

Good evening Peeps,

Hope you are all well and having a good start to the week, if not, here is a big hug.   Before we get down to card making, I would just like to welcome my newest follower of my blog, Carol Bignall.   I do hope you enjoy your visits and hopefully get some inspiration for your card making Carol and thanks for following.

Ok here we go then.   The card I am sharing with you tonight uses Imagination Craft's  beautiful decoupage stamp - Butterfly Medley, Black Shiny Card and Mica Powders.   Hope you like it.

Make a  base card 6" x 6" from white card stock.     Matt a piece of black shiny card onto the base card.   Cut a piece of white card, slightly smaller than the black.   Colour this with distress inks using a blender tool.   Stamp the butterfly medley stamp onto this using a grey Stazon pad, rotating the stamp as you work around the card.   Colour the edges with gold mica powder and water, using a paintbrush.

Matt this onto the black card.   Next matt a strip of black card approx. 23/4" x 51/2" onto the base card.   Using a die - cutting machine, and the honeysuckle square die from Memorybox, cut out two honeysuckle squares and colour with the pink mica powder and water.   Glue this onto the black strip, one below the other.

Stamp the main image onto a piece of the textured card using the grey Stazon pad.   Colour this with the mica powders and water.   Matt this onto a piece of black card, leaving a tiny border of black showing.

Stamp the butterfly image onto another piece of  the textured white card, again using the grey Stazon pad.   Colour the butterflies using the mica powders mixed with water.

Cut out the butterflies and 3D them using silicone glue.

Using the die - cutting machine, cut out and emboss the Spellbinder's flower from white card and colour with the pink mica powder mixed with water.

Cut out a circle from some of the black shiny card and glue to the centre of the flower and glue the flower to the bottom right of the main image.   The beautiful sheen of the mica powders, unfortunately don't show up so well on the photos.

Well that's it my friends, one finished card.   That's all from me for the moment, look forward to seeing you all again in a couple of days.   Take good care of yourselves and have a great week, see you soon.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.
