Colourful Carnation

Good Sunday evening Followers Friends and Visitors,

Well, here we are again about to start another new week,   Where have the weeks and months gone?   Hope you are all safe and well.   This recent bad weather seems to have passed us by,  thank goodness, although it has been raining most of the day.   Others have not been so lucky I understand.   Hope all is well where you are.

Tonight I would like to share with you, a card I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts.  This card was made using their lovely carnation panel stencil,  Greek key stencil,  sparkle mediums and silkies.   Hope you like it.

Make a base card from white card stock.   Matt a slightly smaller piece of royal blue card onto the white,  leaving a small border of the white showing.

Take another piece of white card, smaller than the blue and colour with the silkies, using a piece of cut n' dry.

Next, put through an embossing machine along with the Greek key stencil and emboss.   Lay the stencil back onto the now coloured and embossed card and rub some sparkle medium through the design on the stencil, I used my finger to do this.      Remove the stencil and leave to dry.

Next, using the panel stencil, mask off all but the flower head and lay the stencil onto the centre of the coloured card.   Spread the two sparkle mediums over the flower head.    Add some red gilt sparkle medium to the flower centre.  Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Using only part of the flower head from the panel stencil, spread the sparkle mediums through the stencil, all around the edges of the card, using the metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the images to dry.

Matt this card onto the base card and add a blue spotted ribbon bow to the bottom right - hand corner.   Well that's this card finished, quite a simple and quick card to make but quite effective.   I do hope you like it.

Until my next blog in a couple of days or so, please stay safe and well whilst this bad weather is here.  Thank you once again for visiting my blog, hope you have found some inspiration from my cards.   See you all soon.

                                                                 Love and rainbows,

                                                                Big Hugs   Jennifer xx.

  7. Hello Jennifer, Just found your link over at Pat's Colourful Card Creations and zipped by to say hi, and see your art. This is such a lovely card. There's such a great deal of sparkle, and I'm not familiar with some of the products -but you've got a fantastic piece of art here. I always enjoy making a new card friend, and hope you'll find time to visit me as well. I'm off to enjoy some of your earlier post. TFS
