Dreamy Dragonflies.

Hi there my lovely crafty Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Hope you all enjoyed a restful and happy weekend.   Today's card was made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  in April of this year and uses their beautiful dragonfly dreams stencil, their equally beautiful dragonfly decoupage stamp set and the gorgeous coloured silkies.

Begin by making a base card from navy card stock.    Matt a smaller piece of white card onto the navy, then  take another piece of white card  and colour using the silkies with a brayer.   When dry, lay the stencil onto the now coloured card, and put through an embossing machine.   Leave the stencil on the card as you take it out of the machine and dab the blue silky through the design, using a piece of cut n'dry foam.   Remove the stencil.   You will find that the silkies dry in a very short time.

Using the large Nellie Snellen oval die with slits in it,  die cut the oval from the stencilled card.   This will as you see, not fully cut out the oval but, will cut only the little slits in the card, which is what we want.

Take the medium die and the next larger die and cut out two ovals from white card.   Glue the larger of the two ovals to the centre of the coloured card.   Colour the smaller oval  with distress inks and stamp the dragonfly image onto it, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with gold embossing powder.   Glue this oval to the larger white oval.

Stamp the main image once more onto white card and heat emboss as before.   Cut out the dragonflies only and colour with the silkies.

3D the dragonflies onto the coloured oval using silicone glue.    Next, go back to the stencilled card and, using a piece of white card,   die cut the small flowers using the Nellie  Snellen die, until you have a total of 18 flowers.   Fix these flowers into the slits, securing on the reverse of the card.   Last but not least, fix the stencilled card to the base card and there we have it, one finished card.   I do hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Have a good week everyone and stay happy, healthy and warm.   Thank you so much for stopping by to have a look.   See you all again very soon.

                                                                Love and rainbows,
