Decoupage Irises.

Good evening Folks,

How are you all?   well I hope, especially as the weekend is here!   The weather here has been very mixed, one minute warm and sunny, the next dull, cold and windy, then back to warm and sunny !!  mustn't grumble, at least it has been dry.   The card I am sharing with you tonight was made in March 2014.   For this I have used Imagination Craft's  beautiful Irises decoupage stamp set.  I have not used the usual colour for irises but have used yellow, as I have memories of yellow irises in my nan's garden when I was little, so I have a soft spot for them.

Make a white base card.   Take a smaller piece of white card and lay the 'flourishes' stencil on top and dab Versamark through the design, using a piece of cut n' dry foam.     Remove the stencil and heat emboss, using copper embossing powder.   Place the stencil back on top of the embossing and move the stencil slightly to the right and dab the black soot distress ink through the design, creating a shadow effect.

Remove the stencil and colour around the edges with black soot distress ink.   Matt this onto the base card, leaving a border of white card showing.

Stamp the iris stamp four times onto white card, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with black embossing powder.

Colour the images with 'Vintage'  pearly paint palette, brush and water.   Cut out the images and 3D using silicone glue.   Fix this to the centre of the base card.   Well there we have it, one finished card, quite a simple easy card to make and looks quite effective I think.

Once again, thanks for stopping by my blog and if you have left a comment, 'thank you' it is much appreciated.   I do like to receive feedback.   See you all again in a few days.

                                                               Love and rainbows,

                                                             Crafty Hugs,   Jennifer xx.
