'Butterfly Beauties.

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

How are you all?  well I hope, if not here's a   (((hug)))  to make you feel better.     The Autumn has definitely  arrived,  as I sat in the lounge this afternoon, the leaves were floating past  the window.  Ah well, there are good things about the Autumn,  the wonderful colours of the trees and berries and fresh bright days.   There have been lots of Red Admiral butterflies in our garden over the last couple of weeks, such bright colours on their wings.   The red squirrels are eating the nuts from the hazel trees and the Great Spotted Woodpecker is helping himself to  the nuts in our bird feeder.      Speaking of butterflies, my card for tonight features butterflies but not Red Admirals lol!

I would like to welcome my newest follower Jean  Elford, many thanks for following my blog, hope you find some inspiration for your creations.

Make a base card from terracotta card stock.   Matt a slightly smaller piece of white card onto the base card.

Take a piece of craft card and lay the 'butterfly flourish' stencil on top and using a piece of cut n' dry foam, dab the rusty hinge distress ink through the design, covering the leaves only.   Cover the butteflies with the stormy sky distress ink.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

When dry, return the stencil to the inked  image and spread the blue sapphire Sparkle Medium over the butterflies only, using the detail metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave to dry.   Lay the stencil back onto the image and rub some bright copper Sparkle medium around the edges of the leaves.

Draw lines around the leaves with a white pen.   Fix this to the base card.   Colour some white card with black Brusho ink  ( the black Brusho ink does not look black, but a mixture of blue and orange when added to water).   When dry, stamp three large butterflies from the 'Time Flies' stamp set onto it, using a Versamark pad and heat emboss with white embossing powder.   Cut out the butterflies and glue to the card front.

Hope you like it.   Many thanks for stopping by my blog, I do hope you have enjoyed your visit.  I will be back in a couple of days, I hope you will too.

                                                                   Love and rainbows,

                                                                     Hugs   Jennifer xx.
