Happy Christmas Poinsettia Card.

Hello there everyone,

Hope your day has gone as you expected.   Housework and shopping for me today lol! and of course watching all of Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel today.   Wow! some great demonstrations from our lovely Sue and Lisa.    The new Starlight Textile Paints one Day Special sold out !!! and I'm not surprised, as these are just so special and so easy to use.   The big plus as well as the beautiful sparkle is, that they do not bleed into the fabric.   The mind boggles lol! at just what they can be used for, tote bags, T shirts etc., and even canvas shoes!   I'm sure many more things will come to mind in the future.

Well, onto tonight's card which was shown on one of the programmes.    For this card I have used two of Imagination's panel stencils, which I think work quite well together.

Working on a 7"x7" white base card, colour the front of the card with the Festive berries, Scattered straw and  Evergreen bough distress inks, using a blending tool, until you are satisfied with the look.  Lay the poinsettia panel stencil onto the left hand side and using a piece of cut n ' dry foam, dab the red berries distress ink through the design.   Move the stencil to the bottom of the card and do the same, this time dabbing some watered down red Starlight paint.   This gives a very subtle sheen to the Poinsettia.    Remove the stencil.

Take a spare piece of white card and repeat but this time using the large poinsettia only and do it three times.   When dry, cut out and 3D the poinsettia, using silicone glue.

Before adding the 3D poinsettia to the base card, lay the falling leaves panel stencil on the right hand side of the base card and spread the Forest Green Sparkle Medium through the design, using the metal spatula.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.

Stamp 'Happy Christmas' to the centre of the card, using a black ink pad and stamp a few pieces of fern amongst the poinsettias, again using black ink.

Lastly, glue a red satin  ribbon  bow to the top right of the card and that is this card finished.   Hope you like it.   Thanks for stopping by to have a look, I will be back in a couple of days, so see you then.   Enjoy the rest of your week.

                                                              Love and rainbows,

                                                            Big hugs   Jennifer xx.
