My Flower Journal

Good evening All,

Hope you are all having a great weekend and you enjoyed watching the Imagination Craft's shows on the Hochanda T.V. Channel today.   Tonight I would like to share my flower journal which was shown on the shows , my first attempt at decorating a journal,  they say there's always a first time lol!.   These journals are great,  contain many pages and have a ready prepared, canvas front cover, so no need to paint it with Gesso before you can get started.  

   
(1 )   Front of journal painted with  the clover and cornflower MDF paints, soot and duck egg Rusty Patinas.

    
(2 )   The edges of the journal are painted with Cafe Creme Rusty Patina, topped with white gold Starlight
         wax.

(3 )   Lay the butterfly stencil on the front cover and spread the soot Rusty Patina over the design, remove
         the stencil and leave to dry.

    
(4 )   Die-cut three scrolls from black card and colour with the white gold Starlight wax.   Glue one to                     top  left, one to the bottom right, then cut the remaining scroll into two pieces and glue one to the
         top right and the other to the bottom left.

  
(5 )   Add some gold Starlight wax to the wires on the spine of the journal to give it an antiqued look.

   
(6 )   Colour some white card with the pearl Starlight paint and punch out three flowers.

(7 )   Die-cut and paint various flowers with the two MDF paints,  (which give a matt finish and look good
         against the pearlised flower), adding some gold Starlight wax to the petals.   Die-cut two flowers from
          black card, adding some gold wax to the petals.

   
(8 )   Die-cut one leaf stem from black card and cut in two.   Glue the leaves and flowers to the journal front.
         Add some Stickles glitter to the flower centres.

    
(9 )   Rub some gold wax over the stars and butterflies.

    
(10)   Die-cut the letters    ' N o t e s '   and colour with the gold wax.    Glue these down the left-hand edge
          of the journal.
