'King of the Forest.'

Good Evening Lovelies,

Hope all is well with you and you have enjoyed yet another beautiful day of sunshine as we have, although there has been a gentle cooling breeze but very pleasant.   Thank you once again for all your visits and lovely comments on my last blog post, very much appreciated.

Tonight I have another card to share with you which was made using Imagination Craft's  gorgeous new, 'Fantasy Christmas' Collection.   This was launched  on the Create & Craft T.V. Channel this morning.

Take a piece of white card seven and a quarter inches square.   Tear the part of the rice paper design with the stag on and separate into two pieces, feathering the edges, (this is done by wetting the place you want to tear, using a paintbrush, then gently pull apart, leaving the edges feathered.)

With a pencil draw a rough guide on the white card, where the edges of the rice paper pieces will be.  (We want the rice paper to be glued to the white part of the card, after we have painted it, as the colours of the rice paper show up better than when they are on a painted background.)

Mix some Cadence antique white, leaf green and ultramarine Hybrid glitter paints until you achieve a similar colour to that which is on the rice paper.   Paint following the pencil line ie., along the top and down the middle of where the rice paper edges will be.

When this is dry, stamp the text down the centre using a black inkpad and when that is dry, paint over the top of the text with the Dora white gold metallic paint to dull the text down a little.   Stipple a little gold paint along the top edge too.    Don't worry about the small ink marks on the left of the card (my inky fingers lol!  always manage to get ink where I don't want it !   they will be covered up by the rice paper.)

Using the decoupage glue, fix the pieces of rice paper to either side of the text, bending the extra paper to the back of the card and securing with decoupage glue.

Mask off the word 'Winter'  from the stencil  and lay it onto the top left and using a piece of foam, dab some brown Versafine ink through the design.

When that is dry, re-lay the stencil back in position and move the stencil slightly to the right and secure in position with some low tack tape.   Using a stencil brush, stipple some of the Dora white gold paint through the design.   Remove the stencil and leave the image to dry.....a matter of a few minutes.   A slight shadow around the letters has been made.

Matt this onto a slightly larger square of brown card and then fix this onto an 8" x 8" white base card.

Well, that's all from me for the moment, thank you for taking the time to visit my blog, I do hope you have enjoyed your visit.   I will be back soon with another card, made using this gorgeous collection.
