A Little Piece of Springtime.

Hi there my Lovelies,

Yes, it's me back again with another card for you.   Where do these day's go to lol!  it doesn't seem like three days since my last post.

To begin with I'd like to welcome my newest followers  Annie and Samantha, welcome to my lovely family of blogging friends.   I do hope you enjoy your visits.   Please pop over to my Friends blogs to see their wonderful creations too.

For tonight's card I decided not to show you another Christmas card but one which  will remind you of what hopefully  lies ahead in the New Year lol!     I have used Imagination Craft's crocus decoupage stamp set, which is just so pretty.   Below is the card we will be making, hope you like it.

Make a base card from white card, using a die-cutting  machine and the Spellbinder's Grand Nesties - Labels one die.     Colour the card with dusty concord Distress Ink  then,  using the small scroll stamp from the set, stamp around all the edges of the card using the dusty concord ink.

Die-cut a smaller nestie from lavender paper.   Fix this to the centre of the base card using double sided sticky  tape.    Stamp the main image of the crocus onto white card,  using the dusty concord ink pad.   Colour this with Promarker pens, adding glitter glue to the edges and to the scrolls.

Stamp the crocus again a further four times, colour as the main image, cut out and 3D onto the original stamped image, using silicone glue.   Fix the 3D crocus image onto a  piece of yellow card and trim around the edges, leaving a narrow border of the yellow showing.

Matt this onto the lavender nestie at a slight angle.   Die-cut and emboss,  four corners from orange card using the Spellbinder's Ironworks Accents die and fix one to each corner of the image.

Well that's it my friends,  a little piece of Spring in the Winter.    Take good care of your selves until my next blog post.

                                                              Love and rainbows,

                                                                Hugs   Jennifer xx.

Christmas Tree Special

Good evening Followers, Friends and Visitors,

Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoy your visit.   Tonight I would like to share a Christmas decoration I made for Imagination Craft's  Create & Craft's TV show today.   It is made using their MDF Christmas Tree Kit which was designed for them by Kath Halstead and is very popular.

The tree itself comes in two parts which slide together to make a stand-up tree.   Take each part and paint with the chalk white MDF paint.    Paint the top half with the turquoise satin silky for the sky.    Whilst paint is still wet sprinkle on some glamour dust to the bottom half, for the frosty snow.

Fir trees were stencilled onto the bottom halves using silver sparkle medium.

I covered some white card with silver sparkle medium and left it to dry.   When dry,  I die-cut some snowflakes using a Tattered Lace die and cut each one in half and glued these to the tops of the tree.   Glue some smaller silver snowflakes to the top half of the tree.

All the different sized MDF baubles were painted  with purple lace silky and sprinkled with glamour dust whilst still wet.   Some have silver sparkle medium on them, using the Imagination craft's mini stencils, ie., stars etc.,

Add some cord and ribbons to the baubles and hang on the tree branches.

Well that's it my friends, hope you like it.   See you soon, It's off to bed for me now as it is well after midnight, past my bedtime lol!   See you all soon.

                                                               Love and Rainbows,

                                                                 Hugs   Jennifer xx.
