Gilded Butterflies.

Good evening Peeps,

Hope you have had a wonderful Easter.   The weather here yesterday and today has been glorious!   clear blue skies and wall to wall sunshine!  not a cloud in the sky and quite warm, hope it has been the same where you are too!   Despite this warmth, we still have some snow on the hill tops.

Tonight I would like to share a card with you, that I made for Sue and Harvey of Imagination Crafts  in December 2013,   you may have seen this card on a QVC tv show or at one of the many craft shows around the country, which Sue and Harvey attend.   I thought I would show this card on my blog along with a step by step on how it was made for those who have not seen it before.

I have used a combination of gilding flakes and Sparkle Medium which are available from Imagination Crafts.

Make a base card 6" x 6" from light green card.    Matt some dark blue card onto the green, leaving a narrow border of the green showing.   Take the patterned butterfly background card and cut to size, slightly smaller then the blue card.

Lay the butterfly stencil onto the patterned card and dab the gilding flakes glue through the design on the stencil.   Remove the stencil and wash immediately.   Next, take the gilding flakes and cover the glue with them.

Brush the excess gilding flakes away and return to the pot to be used again.   Polish with the large brush.   Lay the stencil back onto the card and spread some  Teal Sparkle Medium in small amounts onto the butterflies.   Remove stencil and leave to dry.

Fix a piece of ribbon across the bottom left and top right corners,  using sticky tape and secure on the reverse.

Matt the butterfly design onto the blue card.   Cover two round Candi with some of the gilding glue and the    flakes, brush off the excess flakes as before.    Add  a small amount of the Sparkle Medium on the Candi circle too.  Glue the two Candi circles to the bottom left ribbon using Magi-Bond Glue.

Well that's it finished my friends, a quick, easy card to make.   Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.   I do hope you have enjoyed your visit and you will pop back again.  I would love it if you were to leave me a comment.   I will visit your blog in return.   Have a good week, see you all again very soon.

                                                                  Love and Rainbows,

                                                                    Hugs   Jennifer xx.
